I figured the resort was up and running, which is great news! But I definitely hope you can keep a solid stream of content uploading going forward. This is, by far, my favorite surfing resource and I love having a couple great videos each week.

I'm doing a research project on Rodrigo Koxa's 80 foot wave for my school, and I would really appreciate a video on tow-in surfboards. The animated surfing physics series has been very useful by the way!

“Question time” along with “Surfing explained “ were very good! Bring them black, please! 🤙🤙

Great episode, as always! What I find difficult with steeper wave take off is that that my line up is quite crowded, so if you sit too far on the outside, you end up with very few chances to have a go at it, so as a result, I tend to move closer to the peak, with steeper takeoffs and the usual crash as demonstrated on some of the clips you inserted in your presentation! :)

Nice video! Talking about quad fin configuration, what is the difference between positioning the quad rear fins straight or angled toward the nose? Thanks and aloha!

just curious what would be the affect of having all 5 fins in at one time. lm thinking it would really tighten up the back and make turning less easy but give it a lot of grip and down the line speed. what do you think

When riding a big board with to much volume to duck dive, is there a limit on the power of waves you can paddle through using turtle rolls? Would a big enough wave snap the board if it broke on top of it or send you tumbling? How do they get out the back on big wave guns?

Hi Harry, thanks for awesome videos! i have a question. Do you ever detach the heel of the back foot from the board? Or should it always (if possible) be on the board?

Hi! I've got a question for you :) I am riding a pretty old and heavy 6ft softboard. I can catch waist waves pretty easy and go down the line, and my problem is with my carving turnes... Sometimes I feel like I cannot dig the rail in the water and have enough friction for making the carve (mainly the heelside). My foot placement seems to be OK but I cannot load the board with enough force and I just fall back. Grabbing the rail helps a lot but it's just a slower method that doesn't suit the length of the waves I'm surfing here. Thanks!

What’s the science behind putting your weight forward when catching waves? We sort of do it intuitively, but why and when exactly should it be done?

Hi Harry. Love your Q&A videos! I have a question. Every body is different right. Given that men & women have quite different bodies, with our weight/muscle/balance point in a different place, do you see a place for different boards for different body types? Or, do we just adapt to the board? Thanks!

Hi, I am new to surfing and am becoming more comfortable with whitewater pop-ups to the point where I am starting to try unbroken waves but I am not having much of any luck at all I’m catching them. My question is, when the wave approaches me do I pop-up when I feel my board rise or do I wait till I feel a push similar to that of a whitewater pop-up? I don’t know at this point if it’s my paddling power/speed that’s letting me down or I am waiting for something that will not happen. Thanks!

Question for future episode. How to protect your body on a surf trip, when coming from cold climate or inland or just limited surf. When I take a surf trip, my legs, and feet get scuffed up immediately and often to the point of bleeding after a few days. I see a few of your instructors wearing leggings.. any recommendations. And any recommendations for top of the feet, that get road rash also? Last but related, I don't get to surf often, and when I do always in wetsuits. I am also very thin, so when I go to warm climate, I get bruises on the my chest at the bottom of my ribs. After a few days is super painful. Any suggestions? I was thinking of trying to sew a piece of old wetsuit into a rash guard... but that feels just a touch kooky. (ok a whole lot kooky)

What about Twin Fins? They are getting more popular now. Is the position of the fins the same as the front fins of a Quad?

Hi i was just wondering after a session earlier in the week, when would it start to become advantageous to be on a “step up” was out on a proper overhead day which over here in the north east of England is about as big as it gets and i just couldn’t get down the waves on my day to day board, i was sitting in the same spot as other people and committed a few times but just wiped out otherwise I’d have just put it down to being to timid/not sitting deep enough.

there was a little detail metioned somewhere by kelly slater, that he is experimenting with quad setup with bigger toe-in angle at rears than at fronts. any more info about that ?

I've heard that pre-loading your leash in a bail situation can help to avoid it snapping. How does this work? Does it really work or just an urban legend?

Hi, could you please elaborate on traction pad placement for mid length boards? For example a 6'8" / 40 liter board with typical shortboard shape. Is it true that I should align the inside of the kicker with middle of the thruster fin? Thanks!

What is the difference between three fin and a five fin because I’ve ordered a new board because I’ve been in a longboard for a while and I think I need a shorter one and it’s five fin but also three cuz you can decide with quick shift on fins

So I've bought a board with 5 fin set up FCS1 plugs And I found a rather different angle on the toe and camber than what I make myself My question is what do you make of the explanation I'm going to tell you The front toe in is probably 4" to 5" outside of the nose. Looks like a twin fin keel fins set up dimensions. Quad toe in goes to the nose Camber on front is less than the quad I'm looking at putting a twin fin set up with a trailer Looks like the only way to milk this mad cow. Just to clear my opinion can you give your angle on the toe and camber situation. Thx TC from OZ

Tank displacement is also done in reverse. Tank holds x liters. Put board in tank secured. Add water. Do maths.
