Because my fellow kababayans has a colonial mentality due to 500 years of colonialism, and religious brainwash, so they think that being with a Mestizo or a white person, will level up their life, status etc. It's basically inferiority complexes and self hatred. We are the most whitewashed country. Just look at all the whitening products (soaps, creams, pills, and shots), as well as plastic surgery. Ironically now they are all jealous of Andi and her lifestyle.
