Just got a surface book 2 for my birthday, I really love this device as it can replace my MacBook from 2009 and my 1st gen iPad Air. the hinge is amazing and i love the surface pen aswell. Overall, a great device that has lasted amazingly over the 5 years it came out.

mouse > stylus > trackpad for speed+accuracy Unless you're sketching. It's really awesome having a laptop replacement that you can sketch on. If you're really big into taking notes that may need to include doodles or math symbols, then it could also be useful there, but that's not as much a thing that I do. Paper or nothing, I can be a dinosaur sometimes. If you're not going to use the stylus, then you're burning money. You would either be better off with a cheap laptop or a gaming laptop, depending on your use case. I wish the charger weren't so loose, though.

As a person that used to use Final Cut, I understand why you enjoy it. I also used Premiere for a while. In the end, I believe that premiere is the better option. I strongly encourage you to use it more often. while it is more complex, the added functionality and features are well worth the daunting UI.
