frequent problem with surface pro 5, new ssd modules are expensive, they can be chosen from laptop ssd disks, or use usb with Windows PE live without repair :)

To Upgrade the SSD, best and cheapest way is to buy a m.2 SSD with Kioxia Chip KBG40ZNS512G. This is compatible to the original Chip Toshiba 256GB but now the new is 512GB. Also known as BG4 chip. the original was BG3. The BG5 and higher is not compatible to the pin-layout. Only what you have to do is to reball teh chip. In KZbin you can find how to do. Best way to remove and mount the chips is to heat both Sides of the PCB

Hi! this is really helpful, probably is what i'm going to do, however, i'm searching for information about special procedures like update the BIOS or whatever a part of the swap of the ssd itself.
