awesome vid, also keen on where those rod holders are purchasable from, also curious about the brand of the rig beads and are they 5mm? cheers
@HARDCOREOUTDOORSNZ11 ай бұрын
Hay mate. The rod holders we won from competitions, they were made from Surtees, the boat manufacturer. They are as light as a feather, super awesome stands when there no wash around the base. There is a few others making duplicates now, so should be able to find some

Nice video mate,nice catch too. Just a question,what is that sleeve over the butt end of your rod?
@HARDCOREOUTDOORSNZ11 ай бұрын
How's it mate. The new rods don't come with protection these days. So we use shrink wrap or winn tape to protect the rods from any damage bro. You can find shrink wrap cheep online at timu or winn tape on eBay. Applied with a hair drier, so easy as. 30mm shrink wrap is what your looking for

How's it bro. In this clip we are running 6.1kg suffix advance. Using tappered leaders and back to back uni knots. Shimano is going to release some new lines soon, and they look.and feel amazing.

The product is from sea harvester. It's called "bait elastic" and it's bloody good stuff. It doesn't clog the hooks like other brands and it's reasonably easy to remove. There's a heap of other brands that release similar products to

The rod holders were won at a competition, made by Surtees boat manufacturers. They are amazing, providing there are high and dry out of the wash. Super light and very strong. I believe a number of folks are not replicating them and selling them. But if you google aluminium rod stands, something should show up, otherwise I happy to share any dimensions of our gear.

Sorry I shoulda been a bit more precise … the wrap I was referring to is the wrapping on your rods. Chur.
