Nice at least you've been catching some unicorns! The schoolie invasion is starting to come in heavy. Diamond jigs and teasers have been working good for me.

Love the videos. Quick question, are you going straight braid to mono/flouro leader (what knot?) or are you using a swivel?

I was using a swivel to connect my braid to leader. But when i don't use a swivel i use the uni to uni knot.

Nice to see your still banging out the predators up your way. In the seventies i use to fish Jones beach West End 2 surf and travel up to the Captree State Park and with my pass i would stay overnight at the parking lot.

Lol i know i should of just started out with the sp but i like trying other lures first before switching to the "ol reliable's" when i can't get a bite

Nice vid...ill be out there tomorrow night. Sounds like the good old SP Minnow does the trick again. Just curious...why no teaser? Also..what tide was working best?

I usually don't use a teaser, no reason really just a personal preference i guess lol. When the sand eels are in thick ill maybe tie one on. As far as tide I've been liking the lower tide. Like 2hrs before dead low and 2hrs into incoming.

Generally a slow steady retrieve and giving it a few twitches every so often

@@jamesschlickoutdoors super new to surf fishing and here in the Wantagh area. Headed out to field 6 last week and wasn’t a good sign when the regulars were leaving the beach while I’m walking down. Super new and wouldn’t mind a few local fish guys to show me the ropes and not look so much like a noobie.
