I remember riding my new bike over to the city hall building, walking up those stairs, and getting my first bicycle license. I must have 8-9 years old and I remember thinking the building was very special. I was sad when they tore it down. I had no idea the emblems and statues were saved - I need to drive by and take a look.

haha I ran into that mailbox post many times in the 90s....My sister lived on Alabama....90s in HB were the best!!!
