Surfing A Short Board At 52 | Old Man Still Can!

Back felt better so wanted to get back on the shortboard. It was a beautiful morning and had some fun little waves.

I’m 47 and just began surfing..hard work but what fun!!! 3 months it’s taken and I’m finally surfing across the wave!! Love it

Right on! Keep at it, so good for us older guys. I know guys who are surfing regularly in their 70s! So we still got plenty of time if we take care of ourselves 🤙🏾

52 is not old by today’s standards. Teenage kids will call us old but only to their surprise as to what we can do. Madonna buder ran her first triathlon in her 50s and is still running today in her 90s. Faujeh Singh started running marathons at age 89 and still did them til age 100+. Yes, a bit slower but still out there…

I agree with you. Tho 52 as a surfer and on a shortboard you starting to get old. I know guys that shortboard til 70 but they definitely can’t move like they used to. I remember being a young guy thinking I wouldn’t even be able to surf at 50. 😂Hopefully another solid 20 years on a shortboard 🤙🏾
