I’ve been there once! Took the best dump in the water and in the woods!

Randomly met Joe At a secret spot with 4 guys out. He was a true gentleman in the surf. I wish Costa Rica and him the best as tourism recovers after COVID-19.

I saw the endless summer sign that you use on the property and i was thinking to myself that that is a copyright violation. Then i saw Robert August is your shaper. I was like whaat? And then i was like you're kidding me. And then i was like holy mole, you're kidding me, right? What a place, absolutely awesome. Good for you!

Really happy for your success! Unfortunately, Tamarindo as a city has lost its soul. It’s really sad what happened there. I’ve visited Tamarindo 5 times since 1999 and to say the place has changed would be the grossest understatement of all time. There is a cautionary tale here, where Mr Robert August himself started the beginning of the end of this magical place. When you call some place paradise....you can kiss it goodbye!

I was considering a trip to Taramindo. Not sure what you mean as I am a novice surfer but would like to hear more about what you think of it. Do you mean commercialized?

wow so cool. my first surfboard was a 6'10" pintail gun shaped by robertaugust. and man was it a fun riding board. didnt turn very well but man was it fast through the flat and so easy to ride in really big swells. i think it was made in the mid ti late 70s. i bought used when i was 11 and rode it even after gettin several short boards

Funny, i didn't see witches rock in any of your footage. Also that spot is miles north of you. False advertising. :(

The surf camp adopted the "Witch's Rock" name because its a well known landmark and it sounds cool! I visited Witch's Rock in 1997 - It's way up north of Tamarindo.

Yeah it's like a 1 hour car ride then a 2 hour boat trip to get to Witches from there. Never understood why they named it that, but whatever.
