We loved our short visit to Senggigi despite our surfing failures! Has anyone else had this much fun trying to surf?

Lombok is a beautiful island and doesn’t get its due like Bali does. You could easily spend 2 weeks there and barely see the place. So this is a side question for Al specifically... What do you think of the #CWC final? I say NZ was robbed 😀 Number of boundaries? Come on. They should have decided on either number of wickets lost or probably gone for another tie breaking Super over but awarding the WC based on number of boundaries hit was so stupid. NZ played well against both India and England. Though I was honestly anticipating a India vs Australia final but we all know how that went down LOL Doesn’t feel like England won this WC fair and square but it will be the greatest final I have ever seen so far except the result. Almost as great as the final when a complete underdog India went on to defeat Clive Lloyd’s all time best team on 25th July, 1983 hahaha

As a long long long suffering Blackcaps fan I have to be philosophical about these things. I am so pleased we tied, twice! I am confident the umpires knew the rules, they just didn't click that the players hadn't crossed. It all happens so fast these days. Regarding the way the tie was decided, I would prefer wickets, but then its not uncommon for that to be equal at the end of the game either. Number of boundaries is as good as any other in a game which is meant to be 'entertainment'. I would certainly not approve in test cricket, but then I am a big test tragic (5 days straight, no problems). It is what it is! :) If I was a player I would be disappointed about the money, but I would know I had 'won' in my mind.

Leave to Roam Yeah I feel like NZ was robbed with a silly tie breaker to award the WC. Maybe ICC needs to revisit the rules in case lightning strikes twice. LOL You sound like Kane Williamson. First he said it is what it is and I guess after it sunk in how they lost, he was like “I know it is crazy to award the WC based on number of boundaries “ with a wry smile. I love test cricket as well but I haven’t seen one live for all the five days since 1989 when India played West Indies. I used to watch every test match in Chennai since 1978 when I was 9 and I’ve seen some great matches in that stadium. I was fortunate to watch only a couple of days of the Boxing Day test between India and Australia over 10 years ago at the MCG. Too bad I have to travel far to watch a test match these days and the Carribean is my closest one. I was there during 2007 WC but no test match. At least I can get satellite broadcast or streaming service now which was difficult 15 years ago.
