I’m jealous, I’m stuck in NC Appalachia doing construction but stoked to watch Blair. I work hard in the mountains for 9 months, then take 3 months off during winter and just surf everyday all day in CA and Mex

It's called "loi littoral" (meaning shore law) Homes are forbidden within 100meters from the top of the shore. At Cap Ferret, there is also a preserved natural zone in top of that

Skimboarding is more fun to watch than Surfing imo. There is way more maneuvers and if you watch 5 people doing it you can really tell which one is the best even if you've never done it before. They should have it in the Olympics. Of course getting really good at it is like getting really good at tiddly-winks. But they have weird sports you would invent as a kid like Water Polo too so....
