Made the kids day. Well, not just day. One of the most memorable moments for the rest of his life. Some people might even say they would be “embarrassed” to need help. Hell even if I didn’t need help, I would be glad to have him try to help me. He will be so “cool” to his friends if they see it. To make it even better, it is on film and “documented”.

I always find it funny to know how much people love Kelly, pros and everyone else are all equals... We all love Kelly! Next time you see him and it's not a bad day, you could let him know that one of his brother's friends as well as his high school friend passed away. Anthony Houchin, bass guitar player in a punk band when they were all in school together. Kelly offered to teach him how to surf if Anthony would teach him how to play guitar, he regretted not taking him up on it. We served in the Navy together... He passed from a heart attack out of the blue at work.

So crazy how life is, I seen John Johns first ever 360 when he was a little kid lol... I used to bodyboard gas chambers everyday whenever N. Shore was flat because still had small waves there when N. shore is flat. Somewhere back in 99-2001, he was a small little long haired blonde kid who used surf there all the time with his mom and couple other little kids, we were almost always the only ones there. One day after I caught a wave and was paddling back out he was on a small wave and rode up the face and pulled off a 360, he then told his mom and she was like, “no you didn’t.” lmao... He’ll probably never see this, but I seen it brah, I seen it, hahaha CHEEEEE! Now he’s wold champ. Aloha!

Just an observation here: The way your dogs just roam and totally own THEIR home (where i guess you live too...) shows what a great human you are Jamie. It's obvious to any animal lover that your "brahs" are loved and treated with the utmost kindness. They're never agitated, agro, or fearfully skittish whenever they're around you. nice to see you with Kelly and John at Waimea river of all places. I remember surfing with Kelly when he was from 8-12 years old in Cocoa beach and at that time he was a little ripper. I new then he would go far because it was what he lived for. Surfing with him now in Kauai is humbling. Great surfer....awesome character...good friend.
