The bigger board is necessary until you have the fundamentals down. Just start in smaller surf first. I’d recommend watching videos from: - Barefoot Surf - Kale Brock They have heaps of good beginner guides 🤙🏽

We’ve been plagued with heaps of smaller swells this year & I prefer not to film when it’s bigger. I also don’t like filming when there’s crowds… and as soon as there’s swell, there’s crowds. I also don’t charge like Nathan Florence 😅🤙🏽 But I was hoping to score surf at least double this when we went away. Just got stitched up unfortunately 🥲

I watched this video to get an idea of how long a wave lasts. I’ve never surfed but I really like skateboarding. I don’t do any tricks or anything, I just really like going down hills and was wondering if it’s similar. Seems like a hill can last way longer but I bet a wave feels totally different.
