As usual, tasteful editing and amazing paddling conditions! Except for the glassy, vertigo-inducing part at 1:30 of course. What causes the water to behave like it's mercury sometimes is beyond me. Say, you don't really venture out in the storms like at 1:55, do you?

Thanks! The glassy water is caused by the tide - it is a tide race hitting shallow water and forming those waves during high tide. When the wind is that hard as in the storm, we don’t go out as there is no backup plan when it’s that hectic. Also above 50 knots gusts the sea is not that pleasant anymore as the wind disturbs the waves flow and your abilities to surf. In those cases we may go for a double surfski close to shore on the offshore side or we have to drive toward the bay of Gibraltar where we could still do safe downwind in most cases. Last option is to take the camera and later enjoy some nice coffee and chill till the wind drops down.
