This is exactly what my Neuro surgeon told me. He also said don’t go to an orthopedic surgeon…they will do surgery on anything

Can you tell us the reasons for the pain, and list what you Can and Cannot treat with surgery, Dr. H? That, I think would help a lot of us to understand this. Thank you. .

I have Spinal Stenosis and spent the day in bed reading and resting my muscles. I had sat in a very awkward position in front if a tv watching a Rugby match at a barbeque I could hardly get out of bed on Sunday and carried on till this morning. It is extremely cold in Cape Town South Africa with cold fronts bringing wind, heavy heavy rain sleet and so much snow on the mountains only 25 mins away.

I haven't had surgery on my back .I get Steroid shots in my back about three times a year. I will do this until that doesn't work.

Doc, can you tell us what the pain relieving alternatives are to surgery? Chiropractor? Acupuncturist? Pain blocking prescribed meds?

Always love you content Doc but I have to push back a little . As we know pain is a subjective number, and NO DOCTOR can appreciatey chronic pain and the end and sad result is that they dismiss my pain…

This actually scares me to hear, I was ready to end my life if they hadn't done the surgery. I got relief from it, but suffered nerve damage which is not as painful as the pinch. If I'm stuck sleeping with my arm tied to the ceiling again and sleeping against the wall I don't know what I'll do if they don't do surgery on me again. I was never denied ( fusion c5c6, c6,c7). However, if I'm in that condition again, I don't know what I'll do if denied, OMG!! Why wouldn't they???

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Popping and cracking an already deteriorated spine is a BAD idea! Best chiropractor in town BROKE my cousins neck in office, my cousin began to lose feeling, then muscle control, taken straight to ER for emergency neurosurgery because of being paralyzed from the chest down. Neurosurgeon got things right again, but my cousin had a long slow agonizing recovery w LOTS of physical therapy. Finally could walk again, with a cane. Better to have never seen that chiropractor ‼️

@@user-ph6yh4hs9z I go to a chiropractor that does not pop & crack. He uses the ProAdjsutor tool w/a computer read out of problem areas & then uses the tool w/pounds of pressure to adjust any areas that are off. I have OP & would never let anyone crack or pop me. He also has a table you can lay on to check hips which mine are always off causing problems. The table moves, he adjusts me & I'm good the next day. I am 64 & do heavy gardening taking care of a lady's half acre of landscape. So, I have issues w/my lumbar area & hips. He adjusts me & I'm good to go unless I am way off & need a 2nd adjustment later in the week. He also uses the Prosoft tool, again w/computer to adjust joints & soft tissue problems. I had tendonitis so bad in my left elbow, it was awful, Took a steroid pack then was treated at least once a week with the Prosoft & my tendonitis is gone. Some stiffness in the joint in the morning, but I'm 64 & it's an occupational hazard. Just happy my tendinitis is gone!! I am in Toledo, OH. I would highly recommend my chiro to anyone. Been seeing him for over a decade on once-a-month maintenance unless something like my elbow creeps up. Prosoft treatments are 20% off for the summer. It keeps me very functional at my age!
