Indian Dreamer, We were on Verizon and it worked and we didn't try a Vodafone sim. Someone else might be able to answer your question - Any Canton Fair attendees use Vodafone?

Hi, how do you get manufacturers you like at the Canton Fair to send you an Alibaba Trade Assurance payment request for a deal you made at the show? I will be going this year. Thanks in advance!

I tried that and it depends on the factory and how they prefer to operate. You can simply ask if they have an Alibaba account then message them from there about how you met at the fair etc etc. However I highly suggest using your time to build a relationship with your factory, especially if small. So if you have time to visit a few factories/manufacturers and just get more acquainted beyond the fair i recommend! good luck and safe travels!

Paula Bev hi thanks for your comment. So if you’re in China already on a tourist visa it’s no problem. You just need a passport photo, a business card, and your money. The business visa and tourist visas are for your entry/exit purposes in China unrelated to attending the canton fair. Now if you’re going to be doing business (not just attending the fair) I’d recommend the business visa for legal reasons. Good luck, hope this was helpful.

I am planning to go to CHINA for Cantonfair, I have got my Invite letter to process my Visa, but the concern is Buyer Badge is taking a lot of time, it is showing "To Be Accepted", how much Time it may take?

Hey, it may be because it is still early, the fall fair is in October. Also the buyers badge can be picked up at the fair. So if you don't get it by the fair online, just know its available at the fair. Good luck and safe travels!

Hi, most hotels have shuttle buses to take u to the fair. They do have set times, so dont be like us and miss the bus. Taking a taxi can get a little pricey since so many ppl are in town. The 2nd best option is the metro- it may be far from your hotel (meaning u will have a few train line transfers) but super cheap. Good luck!

Jasmine Davis I recently moved back to the states for my daughters health. So no tours right now. Depending on what you need a tour for (business or leisure) I can point you in the right direction.

how do you know which phase has what products from what sector and more importantly, how do you ship? because here is what happened to someone i know - he went and purchased shoes and clothes for resale. the supplier offered to ship for him and he came back home and the boxes eventually arrived as promised, but when he opened the boxes,,, it was mostly junk and not the stuff he purchased but most like the stuff the supplier wanted to get rid of, 50% of his items were stuff he never ordered nor will anyone will ever buy - all wrong sizes and styles and colors,,

Not sure but most manufacturers who even dare pay to attend the fair are serious, idk about your friends specific situation tho. To know which phase has which products just visit the website it'll tell u. Usually, phase 1 is like heavy machinery, phase 2 is like houseware, and phase 3 has clothes and apparel. Of course I'm over generalizig the phases so check out the site. good luck
