In my second video, I show all you left-handers how to tie a two-handed surgical knot. My technique allows you to do this without ever moving your needle, crossing your strings or crossing your hands!

I think your “left-handed” and “right-handed” knot labels are reversed. I was taught that the left-handed knot is performed mainly with the left hand. (At least that is how the Penn State video shows it. I don’t go to Penn State, for the record.)

No, not for my technique. I'm assuming that left handed folks suture from left to right, which would place the needle on the right side of the incision. Tying mainly with your right hand will allow you to throw the free end of the string though the loop. If you were to tie mainly with your left hand, you'd be throwing the needle through the loop. I don't know what they do over at Penn State, but this is what I do and I don't like to stick myself.
