I was hesitant to watch this "long" interview due to my tight time. However, I really enjoyed it, and it gave me more insight into the German health system. Thanks guys

Thanks for the video Dr Deepak. It def gave a wider picture of what the actual training might be like over there. Im not a surgical field hopeful for Germany, would really appreciate if you could get chat with more foreign doctors in other specialties as well.

Well, thank you for your kind words. I will try to get doctors from other specialities aswell, may be in Feb. But its really difficult to convince doctors to come on camera and express their thoughts, not everyone is so kind and eloquent like Mahdi. But i will try.

I’m gonna complete my sixth year mbbs in Ukraine. Is there any possibility to do internship year in germany. I was thinking a way to skip the internship part in Ukraine and the fmge exam and 2 year internship in india(new rule). Can I do internship in germany if I have the language qualifications? I was seeking an answer to this but couldn’t find any.

Theoretically yes, if you are willing to gain admission in a medical university in Germany and repeat few years again as a medical student. Practically, in my view it is very difficult. the problem starts with admission into a medical university itself, when there is so much competition for the seats.

Thank you so much for this amazing video. I really appreciate for investing your time for this. Please can you make a video about all the states in germany where which specialization would be better? Public universities that are good and affordable for us? And most importantly other than big 3 (berlin, munich , hamburg) which state is better to study sx from?

Sir, would you advise to opt for germany or uk if we choose medecine/pulmonology? There are no workshops/lectures. Do we become a good specialist after 6 years?
@docdeemishra

i would advise USA for proper training. The system in the UK is not much better than in Germany. The doctors working in the NHS are mostly unsatisfied with the training, workload and pay.

Sorry sir, only in a handful of institutes in India do teachers care about training residents. In so many colleges they are just treatng everyone the same and leave them to their own devices. As long as basic work is being done, they dont even mind that some residents have never scrubbed in to assist. there are residents who have never held a laproscope, never even assisted one. And they just dont bother either. They will take personal responsibility for thesis but nothing more. Other than basic imposed requirements, barely anything is done. But in good institutes interns will be managing wards and doing minor procedures and assisting. Here also, the culture of the hospital matters. But here if you want to do more than what the system allows, they will prevent you. Except maybe in 2-3 institutes.
