We have cassava bread in Gambia. The same food is in Sierra Leone and Cote d'Ivoire, which they call Bami. I think the same exists in Jamaica, perhaps also in other Caribbean nations. Beautiful commonality among us all. 👍

Queen nani of the maroons was an ashanti woman as a result of war she ran to ivory coast where she was.recaptred and sold as a slave among them was acheampong (Jamaicans called him accompong) and also king Takyi as well as kwadjo all these slaves were strong asantes who were sent to Jamaica that's why we have common culture so am no suprise that is the little history I know about the maroons

Suriname 🇸🇷 is a neighbor of Guyana 🇬🇾 in South America. Guyana 🇬🇾 and Ghana 🇬🇭 has bilateral relations. Suriname 🇸🇷 is a Dutch Colony so they are closely tied to Holland 🇳🇱
