Dear Carlos. Thank you for putting up this clip, the man, and his art. There was a time, I was "buying" his art: giving him some money to survive and he would paint something on a piece of panel. I had many of these panels stored and sometimes when I didn't have anything for him, he would simply paint one and hand it to me as a token of his appreciation. Sometimes he would not ask for money, but to buy him small pots of paint in various colors. When I moved, we lost contact. He's not a drug addict. Just someone who has had a hard upbringing and he doesn't want to talk about it. This is his way to freedom.

As unbelievable as it is, there are people who "choose" to be "poor". Choose as in they actually have capability or skills to cash in but they refuse to do so, poor as in they refuse to have more money than what they need. I hate those who complaining 24/7 about how poor they are instead of doing something about it but I also know several homeless that simply don't want to deal with too much money. They're happy, reasonably healthy and kind. Sometimes I envy them. If not because I have my dear mother, a little brother, and 2 cats that need me to take care and provide for them, I might choose to become poor rather than dealing with all shenanigans on my job.
