I ended up buying up YUBA Mundo because surly changed some things on there big dummy. Had they not done that because they’re going through a companywide and get rid of stuff that’s working project thing and it’s like I won’t buy a Sling now because I’m worried about if they change anymore, you’ll be able to get parts, you know the surly big dummy was the cargo bike everybody wants, so what did they do? They started making frame changes to it I won’t do business for the company that the most popular bike look what they did with the fat tire bikes, you know anyways, I gotta.mundo and yes it’s an eBay. I love it you don’t have to charge the battery I mean there is literally no resistance in the peddling stroke if you’re not using the battery.

I haven't seen such well made content on much larger channels with thousands / millions of subscribers. I would suggest though this video be made into 3 separate videos of less then 5 - 10 minutes or so depending how much information is required. you will get much more views and momentum. Also the people wanting a review may not want more discussed and vice versa. So that will affect % viewed which in turn will affect how often youtube will recommend your video etc. Then in another video discuss why cargo bike's are perfect way to get rid of a car. 3rd video discuss the covid stuff / exercise (excellent commentary).

Thanks for sharing information on the bags, much appreciated! I own the surly big fat dummy, and while I enjoy the bike for the most part, the kickstand that came on the bike is extremely annoying, and as you well know, it is very unpractical on a cargo bike! Other than spending $400 on a center stand, what is your suggestion?

There is only one good option for purchase and that is the rolling jackass center stand. I have not seen anyone make a very nice center stand for the Big Dummy line of bicycles that is either functional or athsteticaly pleasing. Maybe I will try to build one.

I dunno anything about cargo bikes but unless im working on a bike i find a kickstand is nothing but dead weight, it may be useful so you dont have to lean the bike onto an object to lock it but its so much better to lay a bike on the left pedal or leaned up on a wall with the rear tire holding the bike. With a kick stand you risk it falling over from the weight or from a wind gust.

@@BIKEMAN21 it would be extremely hard to load and unload a cargo bicycle without one. Imagine having 200 pounds on the back of the bicycle and laying it down on the ground and then having to pick it up.

It is extremely aggravating for me as a consumer of the Surly cargo bike to spend the amount of money that I did and the company sends it out with a five dollar “el cheapo “kickstand. I totally agree with the other replies to lean the bike against something , but it is a real pain in the posterior when you want to load anything, and even leaning the bike against something with any amount of cargo is a delicate feat itself. Surly should be ashamed for their lack of thought in this area

@@kcnelson4994 if you are replacing your car with this bicycle then the rolling jackass is well worth the money. However I do understand with your frustration. Surly should partner with Rolling Jackass and purchase their kickstand for the entire Big Dummy Line. I think that the publicity from Surly would we'll be worth it for Rolling Jackass.

There is no link they came with the bicycle. Go online to SURLY and look under bags on their website. They will have a dealer link with the product so you can put in your zip code to find the closest dealer near you.
