Rose! I am truly impressed by you both! I’m of Japanese descent and I love takoyaki. Ours traditionally has pickled red ginger and green onion inside with the tako. You did a great job with yours! I love how you and Lei substituted shrimp. I also loved how Lei tucked the nori inside the onigiri AND grilled it! When I was growing up, even though I was born and raised in the United States, whenever we would go on fishing, camping, road trips, my mom, who was from Japan, always always made onigiri, chicken teriyaki, cucumber side dishes, AND sandwiches for our picnic foods. The boys are truly lucky to have you and Lei as their mama’s! You’re creating beautiful memories. Cherish these special moments with your children! ❤
