Always great watching the stanz family fishing and dining, the cobra are a big fish to fillet, you had a monster job there, without doing the crab trap removal, so it was understandable you are tired, well done

Hey buddy just checking on you how you feeling haven't seen any swordfish videos lately so I thought maybe you not feeling good or ohh you don't have a big boat anymore. Anyway I'm still fighting I just got approved for a new cancer treatment I hope they can give it to me so it'll kill this **** anyway stay safe out there hug those little cuties peace🎅✌✌

Keep fighting! Glad to hear you got approved for a new treatment. Thank you for watching the videos. I have been on my own health battle as well, recovering from surgery from late March. Hoping to start fishing more again soon. We still have the 42 Freeman but I don’t run it very much myself nowadays. Capt Mike runs the boat for most of our trips.

I have been offshore fishing for just a few years now and would like your opinion on leaving engines running when fishing. We fish out of Apalachicola and it is 30 miles to 100 ft of water. Almost exclusively, we use a Rhodan gps anchor that runs off a battery system separate from house/engine batteries. I have always left my engines idling, but that runs up the hours with the expense of more frequent service intervals. What is your practice and have you had the experience of a failure to restart when offshore? Thanks!
@StanzFam5 ай бұрын
Great question! There is something to be said for leaving your main engine (or one of them) running for safety purposes especially if way offshore but it does rack up the hours. The trolling motor being on a separate battery bank is definitely great, but we just went to the power pole charge system on our last 2 boats so we can move power around if needed. An emergency jump pack is a great idea too if you want to keep your main engines off. I love our Yamahas so I’m pretty confident they are gonna start when we need them, so I don’t mind turning off the main engines. I haven’t had a failure yet where I was way offshore and couldn’t get them going

WTF ARE YOU DOING WITH NET FOR A CATFISH BOAT!!!!! DUDE I FISH STERGIONS AND MY NETS BIGENOUGH FOR 6 FOOT FISH 🐠 WE LAND THE 10 FOOT ONES ON THE BANKS AND HOP IN WITH THEM 👌
@StanzFam5 ай бұрын
Only had the lobster net onboard. 🦞. I Knew the fish was close to legal size so didn’t want to gaff it but we definitely could have used a bigger net 😂🙌🏻
