Surprise Maximus Record Attempt 2017

The record peal attempt to ring 21,216 changes of Cambridge Surprise Maximus was set on the 12 bells of South Petherton Church, near Yeovil. It took 14 hours 26 minutes to complete.
It beats the previous record of 16,368 set at Birmingham Cathedral in 1965.
The band plans to come to the Taylor 12 at St Anne Alderney to attempt to beat their record in October 2017. They propose to ring 25,000 changes or Bristol Surprise Maximus.

I couldn't ring a peal that long, 5040 changes and 2 to 3 hours is long enough for me.

Never mind the physical stamina it must require to ring for 14 hours, how about the mental horsepower you need to keep the pattern clear in your head and not go wrong. Superhuman indeed!
