So I recently subscribed to your channel, and can I just say that I'm so psyched to watch! There's a serious genuineness about you guys that is so refreshing, and an infectious happiness and excitement that comes across so well on camera, and I just love what I've seen so far. So anyway, just keep doing what you're doing! I love it! ❤️

+CulpFiction As for a meetup, unfortunately I don't think we'd be able to swing it, only because we're currently living in Vegas and it's a _little_ out of the way, but I would LOVE to see footage from whatever you end up doing! We vlog as well, and a meetup would seriously be my dream haha. I love meetup vlogs!

Had to share this to my FB page. Living in Minnesota, we get use to snow [and complain...well some, I love winter] I asked the question "how do you see winter?" after watching your video. It's important to refresh our eyes to the beauty of what is around us [that we take for granted - your top reasons for your channel.] I look at life similar to you Cory, though I have to touch and taste things sometimes, to heighten my sensory as well. 25 years ago a very good friend told me when you attend a symphony [or similar] to close your eyes as you hear more when you eyes are not there to distract you....I ran with that idea on life as a whole. You probably wont see this, but I had been planning on moving to Alaska for a couple-three years, until recently with all the earthquakes...I might rethink that commitment. If my life ends as I think it will in the next 5 yrs, I want it to be somewhere beautiful...I just don't want all my "stuff" falling to the ground and breaking because of an earth shake festival. :-) Also: Not sure if I will be able to watch your channel after you have a daughter...It will make me to sad never having experienced it and always wanting to be a dad..or married to a woman like your Kristen...she is such a peach. YOUR A LUCKY MAN CORY.

To Michael in the intro I just want to say #MichiganProud ! hehehe Cory, Rivers don't tend to freeze like likes. Because most rivers are flowing, it is much harder for them to freeze. Rule of Thumb in Michigan, is to stay off the rivers. :)

I would fly to Alaska from California to be able to meet you Cory. I've looked up to you for 9 years and I even though you don't really know me, you've changed my life. I was a super shy 11 year old and you've taught me that it's okay for me to be who I really am. It's okay to have ADHD. It's okay to be silly. And best of all it's okay to try and make people happy. I am so glad that after everything you've been through in life you have a gorgeous wife and a beautiful daughter and a lovely home. I hope to one day be even a fraction of the man you are. Love you guys.

Be thankful you get snow. If it snows where I live, it never lasts. Snow one day and it's 50 the next day. But I love it when it does snow here. It makes everything so pretty and serene. :)

ADHD is NOT an illness - it just means that people are wired differently. ADHD people are high performers and are actually an upgraded human being. Their strength is their own perhaps more limited capabilities in terms of less wide a scope of capabilities, but greater depth and focus on what they can do. When working in a group of diverse abilities - the combined abilities will bring about a change on this planet that is unprecedented and where the 'older' model human beings are not capable of. Cory is a film maker of exceptional talent. Your subject matter is intriguing, poignant, touching and inspiring in a way that connects people. I am very grateful to you Cory for producing these Blogs. I live in Hong Kong, and I love that you share your life with us. Thank you.

I live in Colorado, but i was fortunate to have worked in Alaska for 2 years in the 90's in Prudhoe Bay. The job was 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Most of the time I flew back to Colorado but sometimes my wife would come up. I warned her the first time that Alaska would make Colorado look flat and she would get tired of saying "that's the most beautiful thing I ever saw" every 10 minutes. Since you are a Cheechako (newcomer) here are what I consider the best of Alaska: Landing on the glacier on the side of Denali (K2 aviation out of Talkeetna), the drive to Seward and take the day trip to Kenai Fjords NP, the trip to Wrangler St. Alias NP, seeing the Aurora Borealis dance across the top of Denali, the trip from Homer to Kachemak Bay State Park. I better stop before I get weepy. All I can say is that you now live in a small frontier town surrounded by 600,000 square miles of wilderness, it's time for you to get out there! Ron

Just found your vlog a couple weeks ago and I power watched every episode. I was only able to watch on weekends so it took 2 weekends and then about an hour today. LOVE these vlogs though - and I love Alaska. Keep up the great work Cory and I hope you're able to fix the Quad because those scenes are so beautiful. Loved the 360 shot you showed us in this one. Hope we get to see some vlogs with Kristen's parents - they are so fun to watch as they enjoy Alaska.

I love in the northeast. It snows every year. We have ice storms. I've spent plenty of time shoveling, chopping and sanding ice, freezing while waiting for the bus, loosing feeing in my toes. But I still find the snow and ice so beautiful and magical!! Of course you're still in awe of it. :)

I'm in for the meet-up! :) Anyplace in the state, and a hike sounds like fun! Really enjoyed seeing your enjoyment at the river, even if it is mushy right now!! Suggestions for future trips you two (+ 1) would enjoy: Canoe/kayak the Swanson River Trails (plan to portage between lakes for a couple days before you hit the river), or a hike to Portage Lake from campground just this side of Seward. (Have you gotten a copy of "55 Ways to the Wilderness in Southcentral Alaska" yet?) ...drive to Valdez....Kodiak fishing....flyfishing in the interior....glacier cruise out of Whittier...flightseeing over McKinley....I've been here 46 years now and still feel just as you do about the amazing places to see and experience here. :) Hope you go back to hike the same area when it's green!!!

Cory, the meet up sounds like a great idea! My cousin actually lives in Anchorage and I haven't visited him yet so that'd be an awesome time to do it. Also, I bet if you organized a meet up for some type of good cause, you'd raise a lot of money. Like funding to help out the homeless or needy in Alaska. Or to even build something to make your community better. Just sayn'. :) Love you guys.

Hello from a fellow Alaskan! I love your videos! And I would totally be down for a meet up! I live in Wasilla so not too far 😊 By the way, kayaking is totally fine from the ER Nature Center to the highway bridge (where you started) but there's actually a huge sign under that bridge that says DO NOT kayak past this point. It gets really deep and really rapid 😬 Also the river gets deeper in the spring when all the snow up in the mountains and on Eagle Glacier melts. We need more snow though! Hope you're having a great winter!

You should hike Crow Pass, I did it a few years ago. It is 26 miles from Girdwood to Eagle River Nature Center. Our group started at noon Thursday afternoon and got there by 4pm Saturday afternoon. there are designated camping spots, and you are in the middle of nature. Saw some bear for sure. My husband hasn't done it but said he wouldn't mind going with you. He is survival skilled trained.

Eagle River offers a small run of King Salmon, Silver Salmon, and Dolly Varden Char. The season for King Salmon fishing in Eagle river is usually only a few days long, spread over a few long weekends. The legal opening for King Salmon Fishing is typically four consecutive three-day-weekends (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) beginning on Memorial Day weekend.

Wow, just GORGEOUS. I wish I could be there for a meetup, but maybe sometime soon! It's a little bit of a drive from Colorado. :)

I have a huge dream of going to Alaska one day, so just got excited about maybe going in the summer. Would love to go to a hike meet up too - maybe different hikes/trips a few days if you want/have time. But because of work, wether I would be able to go or not, would depend on when during the summer you're of doing the meet up. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out if you're going ahead with any plans. Going all the way from Denmark, I'd hope you find out sooner rather than later :) I'd be ready for a "Camp Like Hella" too :D lol... a moose peeing...right :D wonder what that is for?

Wonderful vlog. If that was Eagle River then yes, there are tons of salmon when they are running. They spawn up past the nature center. Alaskan Nature Fact: The tree with the ice on the "pine needles" was a fir tree. There are no naturally occurring pine trees in Alaska.

I'm moving to Alaska in July or August. If I'm there when you do your group hike, I'll come along.

Meet Up!! Husband and I have a massive pacific rim trip planned for 2017 (yeh planning way ahead) and it starts in Anchorage. We joked about meeting Cory, but were like nah, leave the guy in peace. If you're putting it out there though, joint hike omg how cool.

When I got to meet you in Orlando back in 2012, it was awesome, and I loved the meet. If I could meet up again, I would, but you know, Orlando is not in Alaska, so I am sadface. Grab Shaun and tour the US one more time if you can, and of course, Kristen and the SMPbaby would be welcome. Peace, Love, and SMP. :)
