We vlog as well, and a meetup would seriously be my dream haha. I love meetup vlogs!

Had to share this to my FB page. Living in Minnesota, we get use to snow [and complain...well some, I love winter] I asked the question "how do you see winter?" after watching your video. It's important to refresh our eyes to the beauty of what is around us [that we take for granted - your top reasons for your channel.] I look at life similar to you Cory, though I have to touch and taste things sometimes, to heighten my sensory as well. 25 years ago a very good friend told me when you attend a symphony [or similar] to close your eyes as you hear more when you eyes are not there to distract you....I ran with that idea on life as a whole. You probably wont see this, but I had been planning on moving to Alaska for a couple-three years, until recently with all the earthquakes...I might rethink that commitment. If my life ends as I think it will in the next 5 yrs, I want it to be somewhere beautiful...I just don't want all my "stuff" falling to the ground and breaking because of an earth shake festival. :-) Also: Not sure if I will be able to watch your channel after you have a daughter...It will make me to sad never having experienced it and always wanting to be a dad..or married to a woman like your Kristen...she is such a peach. YOUR A LUCKY MAN CORY.

To Michael in the intro I just want to say #MichiganProud ! hehehe Cory, Rivers don't tend to freeze like likes. Because most rivers are flowing, it is much harder for them to freeze. Rule of Thumb in Michigan, is to stay off the rivers. :)

I would fly to Alaska from California to be able to meet you Cory. I've looked up to you for 9 years and I even though you don't really know me, you've changed my life. I was a super shy 11 year old and you've taught me that it's okay for me to be who I really am. It's okay to have ADHD. It's okay to be silly. And best of all it's okay to try and make people happy. I am so glad that after everything you've been through in life you have a gorgeous wife and a beautiful daughter and a lovely home. I hope to one day be even a fraction of the man you are. Love you guys.

ADHD is NOT an illness - it just means that people are wired differently. ADHD people are high performers and are actually an upgraded human being. Their strength is their own perhaps more limited capabilities in terms of less wide a scope of capabilities, but greater depth and focus on what they can do. When working in a group of diverse abilities - the combined abilities will bring about a change on this planet that is unprecedented and where the 'older' model human beings are not capable of. Cory is a film maker of exceptional talent. Your subject matter is intriguing, poignant, touching and inspiring in a way that connects people. I am very grateful to you Cory for producing these Blogs. I live in Hong Kong, and I love that you share your life with us. Thank you.

I live in Colorado, but i was fortunate to have worked in Alaska for 2 years in the 90's in Prudhoe Bay. The job was 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Most of the time I flew back to Colorado but sometimes my wife would come up. I warned her the first time that Alaska would make Colorado look flat and she would get tired of saying "that's the most beautiful thing I ever saw" every 10 minutes. Since you are a Cheechako (newcomer) here are what I consider the best of Alaska: Landing on the glacier on the side of Denali (K2 aviation out of Talkeetna), the drive to Seward and take the day trip to Kenai Fjords NP, the trip to Wrangler St. Alias NP, seeing the Aurora Borealis dance across the top of Denali, the trip from Homer to Kachemak Bay State Park. I better stop before I get weepy. All I can say is that you now live in a small frontier town surrounded by 600,000 square miles of wilderness, it's time for you to get out there! Ron

I love in the northeast. It snows every year. We have ice storms. I've spent plenty of time shoveling, chopping and sanding ice, freezing while waiting for the bus, loosing feeing in my toes. But I still find the snow and ice so beautiful and magical!! Of course you're still in awe of it. :)

I'm in for the meet-up! :) Anyplace in the state, and a hike sounds like fun! Really enjoyed seeing your enjoyment at the river, even if it is mushy right now!! Suggestions for future trips you two (+ 1) would enjoy: Canoe/kayak the Swanson River Trails (plan to portage between lakes for a couple days before you hit the river), or a hike to Portage Lake from campground just this side of Seward. (Have you gotten a copy of "55 Ways to the Wilderness in Southcentral Alaska" yet?) ...drive to Valdez....Kodiak fishing....flyfishing in the interior....glacier cruise out of Whittier...flightseeing over McKinley....I've been here 46 years now and still feel just as you do about the amazing places to see and experience here. :) Hope you go back to hike the same area when it's green!!!

Hello from a fellow Alaskan! I love your videos! And I would totally be down for a meet up! I live in Wasilla so not too far 😊 By the way, kayaking is totally fine from the ER Nature Center to the highway bridge (where you started) but there's actually a huge sign under that bridge that says DO NOT kayak past this point.
