6:39 This kind of person is common in Indonesia. They offer you a free ride (sometimes) if you're really new to the area. Not only just because you're "bule" or foreigner, but that's how we roll. I've experienced many times as an Indonesian too. If not too far, they'll walk with you to make sure you're there then they'll walk back to wherever they were. Sometimes if not, you can politely ask "bisa diantar?" or "can you help get me there?", they'll do.

Alot of Malaysian words are exist in Indonesian vocabulary, but not equally vice-versa. Indonesian language is based on some foreign words + alot of local / regional languages - includung Malay (Melayu), as variety of Malayu people are also exist, spread in Indonesia. Any popular local words will eventually included in Indonesian Dictionary. That's why Indonesia have many alterate words for things, such as : Enak / Sedap / Nikmat / Lezat / etc.

Bro, u need some research to buy some stuff or food and drink, u know just for antisipation cuz i worry if some people markup or higher the price to tourist, fyi original orange juice usually price around 5k-7k depend on what type of orange, i mean in center bandung where there is a busy town u can find good orange juice for 7k and yes u need to know some basic bahasa or at least when u order food if the seller dont know english just use google translate because if u give wrong information about the food u cant have the best tastes of that food, like when u order mie yamin the seller said u want "manis" or "asin" that means sweet or salty for the noodle
@Gymson6 күн бұрын
Yeah sure knowing more would help, but sometimes it is fun to find out on the spot. Next time I try to know more Bahasa than this time. Haha, Manis was good for me :) I know word manis actually, but if they speak quickly It's easy to forget.

idk maybe you should at least learn one or two basic indonesian language (or any other languages really) so you won't have confusing moment before ordering something for food or even drink..... as simple as "how much?" = "berapa?" or "i'll have this one" = "aku mau ini satu" would help you a lot
