There are two pastors I'm going to look for if I make it to heaven. Pastor CD Brooks and Pastor Walter Pearson. My life has been changed by the Power of the Holy Spirit through their ministry and prayer! They will have many stars on their crowns for the souls that have been delivered to the Lord!

God will answer your prayers but you must be in the vicinity of the answers. Bad news moves quickly, good news moves eventually. When a problem arises, it's not a challenge, with God, it's an opportunity. And my fav.... PEOPLE ARE DEMONSTRATIVE WHEN THEY ARE INSULTED. Sometimes the best advice comes from the least people in your life. It is not Who said it, it is WhAt is said. Your activity don't deserve a response, it is His love that brings the response. Quotes and notes from this sermon.

That was a great story. God has been showing me today - through this sermon, and also through another one of Walter Pearson that I heard this morning - that I ought to be more open, and less private, about worshipping God. So before when I would eat in our communal kitchen (I am a student at University), I would prepare my food and then go into my room and pray, or into the bathroom and pray, and then eat - so as not to make it so obvious before the others there in the kitchen. But now I feel confident to just praise God like I do in front of their eyes, not caring on what they might think. I am a servant of the LORD. O Lord help me!

I like Pastor Walter's sermons... but the clapping of the crowd doesn't make me happy. Instead, I love a loud AMEN.
@anniesmith12706 жыл бұрын
habtamu shewalemma you don’t understand that is a response to the truth of the word of God .that is very acceptable Many people yell and scream at a person playing with a ball. I don’t but I understand the enthusiasm behind it for them. That’s how I feel and respond to the preaching and truths from the Bible. it also encourages the speakerthe preacher . I respond with hand clapping at church more than a sports event. This is just my opinion, nothing more 😊🙏🏽
@anniesmith12706 жыл бұрын
I’m sorry I didn’t read the part where you spoke of Amen. I am a person who loves to hear and say Amen.to a good message and messenger. The applauding was generally the response of the quiet monotonous Pastor at a Broadway play Show or musical. I am a new Adventist’s member. I love a spirit filled service. Where I attend Sabbath Service is the quietest Church I have ever attended, It is loosing up some.....
@luzorellana66385 жыл бұрын
I agree with you as well. When the members do that I feel like the preacher is entertaining them instead of being preach to. The preacher is there to preach the word of God not an entertainer for the crowd. Basically the key word is reverence, brother.

They are not there to make you happy. Stop being sidetracked by secondary activities. Focus on Christ your savior.
