tbh I would guess it is other way around. I think metal screaming has played a part in the way basses has developed, so people who has done metal screaming might have an upperhand with vocal basses

@@TussBeatbox As a metal vocalist who can do basic throat bass, they're similar in philosophy but different in execution. As with any vocal technique, you need to find it and then develop it. I would honestly expect someone who's good at screaming to learn bass techniques just as well as someone who knows bass techniques would learn to scream.

​@@ZakairSevenfold Well I never claimed that it is a one way street. Of course will someone who has worked on vocal techniques have a easier time to work on a diffrent one with that experience. My point is just that Melissa Cross (Vocal screaming coach) could probably teach you vocal bass with her knowledge about the vocal folds. But I doubt RubikBBX could teach you false chord screaming, since he has more knowledge about specific positions to produce sounds, and not as read on the science behind it. If we had a lot more academic interest in beatboxing and a couple more decades of experience however, it would probably be a lot more even.
