I have a new video out that is about my testing! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaq2gJtmfqqJfbc

This was the most helpful video i've seen in... more than 6 months. Please become a school teacher if you are feeling stagnant in your day to day. Kids need to get excited about stem in the way you have presented this. Thank you

I use terracotta flower pot heaters in each room. I cannot afford heating as it costs too much. But, I have found that it takes the chill out of the air and provides me with light. I absolutely love them.

Forget the layout. Measure the calorific value , the actual energy emitted by 4 candles under a flower pot compared to 4 identical candles not under a flower pot. Any candle contains and can only emit a finite amount of energy regardless of what claims and contraptions people come up with. As a very famous Scottish engineer once said "Ya cannae change the laws of physics Jim".
@TestingPyros10 ай бұрын
I agree. There is only a certain amount that can be gotten from a certain amount of heat. I am working to verify exactly what happens with each layout. I will then try different heat sources. That way I can be certain of a proper comparison.
@edwardmmanns7454Ай бұрын
I believe in a BTU is a BTU pot or not. A candle can generate heat but the pot can only slow down the cooling. IMHO
@TestingPyrosАй бұрын
After the pot hearts up, it radiates. This helps to keep the heat from simply going straight up. That is the only real benefit. There isn't enough mass, much less heat, to actually help once the candles go out.
@vidinman12 күн бұрын
A candle under a pot will give you the same heat as a candle without a pot, all the pot does is build up the heat so it feels hotter when it comes out. Another person in the room or a dog will also make a room slightly warmer, what you need is a smaller room if you are using a small heat source

It's a joke from a British show called "Two Ronnie's". Look it up. But be aware that you will be on the floor laughing. 😉

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I sat through that, without receiving any date, no helpful conclusions, just wasted rambling of an engineer. And then you want me to subscribe to your channel? Creating videos is all about communicating to others in a way that is educational or entertaining, leaving them impressed enough with the results to want to see/hear more. Sorry, but you need to go back to the drawing board.

Yes, I realize my mistakes. I am working on a new set of data, and I will ACTUALLY have numbers the next time I do a video! 😉 But the info is there, I just didn't do a great job of explaining it. I'll do better next time.

@TestingPyros I think the real bottom line is that the candle heater just is not a good solution. Dress in layers for adequate heat solutions in any situation. lol.
@TestingPyros11 ай бұрын
True. But I'm having fun getting a seriously solid base line.

What about just making a regular fire (wood burning) in this mini thing but with a high lid for safety and to catch soot stains?
@TestingPyros6 ай бұрын
Any fire inside a closed house is dangerous if it isn't vented extremely well. I would never have any type of fire in this that needed a chimney to the outside. But that is an interesting idea if I took it outside.

The clay pot provides no benefit. The candles produce a set amount of heat.
@TestingPyros26 күн бұрын
The benefit is that the pots help radiate the heat to a lower level than directly to the ceiling. But, yeah, the candles don't really do a lot.

Those who say that this is a good way to heat a space can realize that it truly isn't.
@iransantos806Ай бұрын
@TestingPyros I don't know in usa, I live in Brazil and I use candles at night on winter (5-15 °C) it works well. Only one candle in a plate.
@TestingPyrosАй бұрын
5 Celsius is actually moderately warm. I have had people rely that they tried this at -10 Celsius, and it couldn't keep up. Also, the room size and insulation make a tremendous difference.
@iransantos806Ай бұрын
@TestingPyros I use only in my bedroom. I never experienced those extreme colds I see in the movies, but I think that to heat a -10 °C place you will need a number of candles that will be expensive enough to be better use other methods.
@TestingPyrosАй бұрын
Correct. And that is my point. Many people have thought that this would replace a major heating system, but it just can't.

it shouldn't take one 9 minutes to decide if what your watching is relevant to you or something you can learn from and you dont have to be disrespectful.
