During our leisurely stroll from 5 to 6:30 pm ,we witness a breathtaking sunset over the water town, with the old bridges and buildings illuminated, creating a captivating scene. I chose to explore this town during the Lunar New Year period on a quiet Sunday, allowing us to experience the festive decorations and the vibrant spirit of the Spring Festival.
Qibao Water Town is a historic ancient town nestled in Minhang District, Shanghai, offering picturesque canals, stone bridges, and ancient buildings. It's a popular tourist destination that provides a glimpse into traditional Chinese culture, with vibrant street markets, temples, and local handicrafts.
One of the reasons I love visiting Qibao is the opportunity to escape modernity and immerse myself in ancient architecture and bridges, while savoring a variety of traditional Chinese dishes.
