I got my first cat last May - a male Tuxedo cat. He has surprised me so much - I thought cats were supposed to be kind of aloof, but he and I bonded the very first day, and he's definitely a "people cat". He's handsome, playful, smart, ornery and sweet. I've had dogs before and I loved them all, but this cat makes me FEEL loved like no other pet before. For those folks skipping the adoption of a Tuxie, they have no idea what they are missing out on.

Yes tuxies are so sweet. The shelter figured he was 5 months. But he took right to me so they let me take him. Now I've got a black and white butt sitting on my face at 4 am.he turned 2 in October. (His name :)

Yeah we had a tuxedo for nearly 11 years. He was very sweet and affectionate and social and made a lot of friends with the neighborhood cats. 😊

I adopted a rescue Tuxedo cat 2 years ago. He’s now 4 years old. He’s my first Tuxedo cat and I love him with all my heart. I also love Black cats.

The first cat I ever owned at age 5 was a Tuxie with yellow eyes that I named Kitty. We had her for 8 years until we unfortunately had to rehome her due to my mom’s allergies. 13 years later, at age 26, a sweet, beautiful tuxie with yellow eyes showed up at my door, clearly malnourished.. I found out from neighbors that she had been abandoned by her previous owner and they even changed their contact info.. I named her Cookie (like cookies n cream) and she’s been my precious companion for the past year and a half. I love her dearly.

perfect. What a beautiful truth this morning. Thank you. I had a tuxedo years ago and I named her lady. Not very fancy but she looked like a lady. I have six cats total. So please get a rescue kitty soon so your baby can bond also and with a buddy and then they can plot against you to rule the world….

I had a glorious 15 year old tuxedo cat! She was a gorgeous hunk of cat! Me & my husband ❤loved her so! She will always be in our hearts.

I lost my guy about six months ago. He was seven when I brought him home from the shelter, and I had him for six years. I will always be grateful for every day I shared with him. I don't have the words to say how much I miss him

So sorry for your loss. I know it's hard to loose one. I know when my Blue Kitty died she took a piece of my heart with her. Gone but never forgotten. But now I have a rescue tuxedo, a rescue black cat and I kept one of her black babies. She was pregnant and severely abused when I took her in. She is my precious Beatrix. My bringer of joy. I've had her 2 1/2 years now and just in the last few months has she let anyone besides myself pet her. She is finally coming out of her fragile little shell.

@@DoloresGonzalez-ef9zh thank you so much. When you are ready get back out there and help a kitty. Give a helpless kitty a bright future. I will be rewarding in so many ways. You and which ever homeless kitty you choose deserve the happiness and companionship that each will bring to the other. But take your time. Remember no kitty can ever replace another but time really does ease the bitter sweet memories and they slowly becomes beloved and cherished memories. It was 3 years ago on November 20th and all I remember now is how happy we were. I'm so thankful I had suck a loyal trusting and super funny best friend. I'm truly blessed.

I absolutely loved my tuxedo cat and still do. He was so special, and the first time I actually felt truly loved. It's been over 4 years, and I still grieve his death. And miss him so much.

My tuxedo cat was marvelous 😊😅 we had the most time greatest time with our 15 year old cat! She's gone now but she will always be in my ❤️ heart forever! 😢😢😢

Those who over look tuxedo or solid black cats are definitely missing out. I'm the proud kitty mom to a tuxedo rescue and 2 black kitty babies 1 of which is also a rescue. My Button Boy tuxedo is very clever, curious, friendly and always playful. He is very quick. Not just physically but also extremely quick to think on his paws. With his predominantly black face with the exception of his white chin and brilliant white whiskers, he has a regal look about him. However it isn't just the looks of his formal attire that demand attention, it's also in the elegant way he carries himself. Continually cleaning his sleek black coat he keeps it in tip top shape with ultimate shine. So silky and smooth to the touch. I often wonder where his top hat and cufflinks are because they are the only elements missing from his custom tailored ensemble fit for a royal coronation. Yes I'm quite sure he is royalty. A blue blood there is no doubt.

I have a beautiful TUXEDO cat that is 23 years old this year. ROSEBUDD IS VERY INTELLIGENT and remains very healthy. She still Has a great quality of life.🐱

Rosebudd sounds like a wonderful companion! It's incredible that she's reached 23 years old and still has a good quality of life. It says a lot about the love and care you provide her. Tuxedo cats are known for their striking coats and unique personalities, so I'm sure she keeps you entertained and loved each day. Give her some extra pets for me! 🐱❤️

Thank you for your insightful video. 9 years ago, when I was 60 years old, my son gave me Oreo, a black and white cat. My dad was allergic to fur and feathers, so I didn't have pets growing up. I have always liked animals, but I hadn't gotten a pet when I lived on my own. My son rescued Oreo when he was a kitten, and Oreo spent his first year with my son, his girlfriend, and his small dog. Oreo and the dog were good friends, and Oreo has some dog-like characteristics, like enjoying belly scratches. My son would bring Oreo to my house when he came to visit. From the beginning, I felt an attachment to Oreo. He would always look me in the eye, and he would butt my hand with his head requesting head rubs. He still does those things. When Oreo was about a year old, my son asked me to take Oreo. My son had just broken up with his girlfriend, and Oreo brought unhappy memories. I was happy to take Oreo, and I am so glad that I did. I probably never would have gotten a pet on my own. Oreo is a friendly cat, and he has a very loud and soothing purr. One time I had shoulder surgery, and when I came home, Oreo climbed up on my chest, and lay there so that his purr was directly against my surgical shoulder. It felt so good. Oreo had never done that before. I have read that the frequency of a cat's purr can be healing. I mostly work from home now, but when I go out to work, he always greets me at the door when I get home. Sometimes he talks to me. It seems like he is telling me about his day. Sometimes it sounds like he has had a bad day because he has a complaining tone to his voice. I am at home now, and he is sleeping near me. When he was two years old, he had a urinary blockage which had to be surgically repaired. The blockage was caused by eating too much dry food. I feed him mostly wet food now, including Hill's Urinary diet food. While Oreo was having his surgery, his heart stopped, and the vet had to give him cpr. After his surgery, he was in bad shape, and they weren't sure he would survive, or he might be blind if he survived. Happily, he did survive with no apparent after-effects. The vet called him "Miracle Kitty," and they talked about how friendly he was. I noticed that he became more affectionate after his surgery. He is 9 years old now, and he is doing very well. I have seen that some people say that a true tuxedo has to be less than 50% white, but I see in your video that you consider cats that are more than 50% white to be tuxedos. Oreo is about 70% white and 30% black. Some people would say that he is a "cow cat." Whatever you call him, I think Oreo is a goodlooking, sweet and wonderful cat. I didn't know what I was missing going through life without the friendship of a cat like Oreo.

My darling tuxedo cat literally appeared on my doorstep and I adopted her. This was after my white cat, a Turkish angora look-alike, that lived to the age of 19, passed away. Her sweet face looks like that at 2.26 and 7.58. This is not the first time that I heard that tuxedos are very intelligent and mine certainly is ! She is beautiful, extremely intelligent and affectionate. She seems to understand so many words and I only have to say 'no' once and she stops doing what she was about to do.I love her to death and sometimes worry about her because I am of advanced age, live alone now and wonder what will become of her without me.

Nice to hear about your tuxedo. I've seen people place notices on their side or back entry door and fridge to rescue their cat in an emergency. I imagine it has contact numbers you can list. If you know of a trusted cat rescuer maybe you could ask them if you could list them as a contact. That could give you peace of mind.

My tuxie is 10.amd lost his 17 year old sister in Nov and his canine brother in June and his 16 year old brother last year. I thought he was going to be depressed but he is just more clingy and talkative and seems to be handling it well. So talkative and intelligent and loving

I adopted two tuxedo, male and female, they are my joy, my everything. I live with 10 cats in a flat, all different. And tuxedos are the most affectionate. They give me kisses, they look after me when I am ill or sad, they stay by your side with love❤❤❤❤ Adopt tuxedo cats❤❤❤❤

I have a Tuxedo kitty ,I adopted him from the local animal shelter. Harley boy is my best friend and I have spoiled Harley to the point he is by my side no matter where I go in the house. Harley is very attractive and he's always been active. He waits for playtime with me everyday. I have always been an animal lover my whole life. I'm going to keep on spoiling my baby. That's what God intended for us to do. ❤Harleys mommy

I have a tuxedo cat, about 3/4 black, black face, white whiskers but only one white eyebrow. She chose me as a kitten at an adoption fair when she desperately tried to escape from her carrier when I walked past. I took her home of course. Once I got her home, she took to hiding a lot of the time. If I found her in a hiding place, she knew better than to use that hiding place again and found a different one and eventually found a hiding place that I couldn't locate. That is the intelligence.

Tuxedo cats come on grey too, i have one and shes so beautiful in snd out 😇🥰 but anyways yes they are grey tuexedo cats too. Grey coat and white insides like chest and skme white opening in the nose and so on etc etc..just like a nirmal tuxedo cats but just in grey color

I lost my Murphy last year he was 15 years old. My niece gave Pepper, a huge female tuxedo. These two cats are completely opposites. Pepper seems to be a one person cat. She is so much fun but as soon as we have a visitor she hides and refuses to come out. Not even for my niece. She plays constantly. She has a living room full of toys. So when folks come in they expect to see a cat.....but she won't be a part of it. She's huge. Not an easy cat to pick up. But loves to lay beside me at all times. I just love my Pepper. She does do a lot of zoomies

A little tuxedo girl was left in our neighborhood and would come to our porch every night until Tim I finally brought her inside. My son, the hooman she adopted, was 2 years old. She didn’t leave his side until she passed way 14 years later. 🥹

I have been to recent cat adoption and the tuxedo cat is rarely adopted. I had a tuxedo, sweet and kind cat. They are beautiful and very loving

I found my tuxedo in a bag by a creek at 4 weeks old. He was so handsome and had beautiful long black and white hair.. His name was Boomer but preferred to be called Mr. Gorgeous. When you called him Mr. Gorgeous he would stick his nose up and strut like he was on a runway. He lived for 14 years.
