Makes me miss my little dachshund Buckee who I lost in September 2018. He was only 8 years old and was diagnosed with renal failure. I as well had to make that heart breaking decision to end his suffering and put him to sleep, which completely destroyed me. I went through a level of grief I've never felt before in my life. Watching him fade away from me in my lap was very traumatic and it fucked me up, and I really struggled with daily life for months until I found a book on how to deal with extreme grief.

I had to put my Dog Max down with my Dad the last year, it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, he had this heart issue where it progressively got worse of time and he had to go when he was 10, young for a dog of his bread. It was especially hard because I grew up with him.
