In today's episode, Christian and his family present his Grandfather with a super important surprise - a vintage Patek Philippe Calatrava. A New York City cab driver for absolute decades, the man knows the city better than anyone. He's a guy who's incredibly simple in his tastes, and hardly a materialistic guy in the slightest. And he's turning 80.
To mark the occasion, Christian and his family are giving him a Patek Philippe Calatrava ref. 2428, dating back to the 1940s. As a brand, it's a true example of luxury and class, the kind of thing that he saw on the wrists of the millions of executives he's driven around the city for the majority of his life. As a nod to this, the caseback has been engraved with his cab medallion number.

Of course I cried. My grandpa is a truck driver, he missed our first birthdays, weddings, important events in my life, but he always is my hero. Always will be. He gifted me his watch (A small 32mm Russian watch) because he knows Im in love with watches. I will go to my grave with that watch. Cause even though he isnt around much, even though he missed all the important things I value in life. He is, and always will be my beloved grandpa

Christian, I’ve been a fan of your channel for awhile now. Although it was the watch content that got me started I especially like the videos that highlight your relationship with your family. My Dad was a Dallas Police Officer for 25 years and he was really in to watches himself. He bought me my first “ real watch “ a Zodiac dive watch when I was 18. I so wish I still had that watch.
