Note the crumbling balustrade and the two large potholes in the road surface. This is happening all over England after many years of government neglect and mismanagement. It's different in Scotland... there are very few potholes and widespread investment in the nation's infra structure. I wish we could have the Scotish parliament govern England. They would do a better job!

We were up in the Highlands again in April and yes majority of roads are in good order but they desperately need to do something with the road from Melvich to Durness and around the Tongue area as those were in a terrible condition and got worse from one year to the next. But we love Scotland and would much rather be up there than down here in England. I also agree that the Scottish could well do a better job than the English greedy MP's. Still got to admit it though that England does still have some beautiful places.
