CP is beautiful off his legs. Really impressed with Luke's batting too, proper shots and a great partnership.

Yep, he really is. It’s a pleasure to watch. Luke has transformed over the winter. Same technical skill which has naturally improved a bit but the added power and maturity is so good to see. He holds great prospects for the future.

You seem to have got yourself an excellent club pro and Luke has a very solid game to hold the middle order from any risk of collapse. This side continues to improve and self-belief. Good to see how effective Charlie can be on these sticky wickets too :)

We have indeed. We are very lucky! Luke has developed his game so much over the winter and is looking to be a solid player this year. We are always striving to improve and bring in better results. Charlie has always been effective… just doesn’t bowl himself much

You need a static camera at one end as high as possible, a fine leg camera for a reverse angle, and then use your camera as an even closer angle. Thats roughly what we use on ECN cricket smaller productions. Only 1 camera operator required. Terrific in 4k this.

Thanks for the advice. I’m always looking to develop the content without making too much more work for me and the team not to mention keeping it simple as I’m not fantastic with technology. We are all volunteers after all 😊. I record ball by ball and delete on the fly so find it hard to add in anything remote with my technical ability 😂. What I would really really love is to get wireless mics on the players or on the umpires. I think that would be hilarious but I can’t be cutting and stitching a 6hr audio clip to overlay it onto the main footage that gets kept… it will take ages

Apart from the road, it seemed a nice, peaceful location,...not many houses around? Wonder if Horley and Sanderstead will be two passing ships in the night come season's end,...they certainly look destined for relegation already.....your bowlers are clearly a class above,...a good, solid 4/5 unit....consistent line and length, very tight.
@HorleyCricketClubTV8 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s a really quiet area. There is a main road nearby but not silly loud. One of the nicer grounds we get to go to. Hopefully not. We’d love to face them in a proper match not a friendly. They are struggling but I’m sure they will be able to turn it around. We have a very decent, consistent attack that will challenge a few teams in the league. Just got to keep scoring plenty of runs to give them something to bowl at!

Tremendous play by CP and Luke ... but we needed the controlled bowling that had Effingham in trouble and unable to post a big total. On any kind of a decent outfield, CP would have had a century and Luke would have been approaching 50. To win with 12 overs to spare was quite something.
@HorleyCricketClubTV8 ай бұрын
It was excellent. Our fielding and bowling was really outstanding it was a shame you couldn’t see the whole thing but it would be a loooong video! Well, let see when we get back to Horley as that is a decent outfield and a much better square

Cheers UncleJimbo. So could we! Two brilliant players, very easy on the eye. I’m thrilled the 4K is going down well. Something a bit different that sets us apart from the other grassroots clubs doing YT highlights!

Nice coverage, Is it true that CP might apply for Rishi Sunaks job as PM? Looks like a nice ground once it drys out.The opening bowler from Effingham looked like he might have been a deck hand on Noah's ark!! Good on him though. Well done on the win!!!
@HorleyCricketClubTV8 ай бұрын
Hahaha maybe he will… who knows. It is a lovely little ground properly picturesque… outfield just played badly this time as it’s been so wet and it’s too long because they haven’t been able to get on and cut it. He could have been you never know. He’s been mastering the art of left arm swing bowling ever since. I bet he was a hell of a player in his younger days. I’d love to be able to continue to play at his level at his age… I’m only 32 and my body is destroyed 😂😂

Yeah it seems so. He’s very good to watch. Best thing is as much as he’s a great player on the field he is a great bloke off and a pleasure to have in the team/club. You hear lots of horror stories with overseas but we are lucky to have a good one.

We know the bowling attack has the variety to trouble any team. The batting having a signing who is clearly too good for the level is going to make you challengers for the title. Keep it up and hopefully you get someone local come through to help with the filming!
@HorleyCricketClubTV8 ай бұрын
Indeed. We know our bowling attack is strong even more so with the addition of Irfaan who is excellent paired with Adam. We needed a strong batsman that the others can bat around. There is still massive batting potential even without CP it’s just there’s no consistency. Hopefully CP will stabilise the batting and bring out the best in the rest of the batsmen too. He has previously played in the U.K. but not since 2016 so it has been a while but he played in Surrey Championship div 3 (2 divs above us) and you could say he was quite successful there. Not exactly sure on his cricket back in India but clearly he’s a very skilled player To be honest. I have invested ~ £8000 in my filming equipment (I do use it for photography seperately mind you)… I don’t really fancy getting a second set to get equivalent footage from the far end and the KZbin revenue certainly isn’t enough to find a second set either 😂! I’d be lucky to get a toy camera from that.

My 6-700 runs prediction for CP might be a little skinny at this stage.

I agree. Cricket is a great sport to watch. I am not to disclose any terms, however… the answer may surprise you because it’s not what you may think. Luckily the club is full of top blokes and he wants to be here. I think the most important question is how much are your MOTs and can I slip a dodgy emissions one through?
