Thanks for a good video! You should also mention that if you got yours from a dealer, sometimes they are too quick to assemble it and they don’t check the alignment of the front fork to the wheel. Which results in the fork binding when it goes up and down, like it was on mine. I would recommend to loosen all the pinch bolts except for the top ones and bounce it up and down. Then retighten them. Particularly the bottom bolts punching the wheel shaft.

I forgot to show how to adjust the rebound on the rear, it's a slotted screw at the bottom of the shock. Have fun, hope you love the Ultra!

Can't wait for the maintenance videos that I am sure are in the works. Are there any fluid changes required?
@racespecsurron1220 Жыл бұрын
No fluid changes as the primary drive is a belt, (storm has gearbox so needs oil change). Not much to do on the Ultra, have been smash testing and have scars on every corner of me and the bike, it's hold up well so far except the hand gaurds and rear guard.

Thanks for this, any ideas on how to lower the bike seat height by an inch to inch and a half for vertically challenged riders

Ok I'm sorry but disagree with the fork adjustment. That is not a spring preload adjustment, it's a valving adjustment. I just confirmed in my shop. Open or close it doesn't change the preload but it does change the compression damping
@racespecsurron1220 Жыл бұрын
Hi John, yes you're correct. I should have said the bottom screws adjust the compression damping. We haven't pulled the forks apart yet but are seeking too as would like them softer for the type of riding we do.
@johnandjuli Жыл бұрын
@@racespecsurron1220 yes the picture on the fork leg is really deceiving. I agree with the springs being too stiff, I'm only getting 19% rider sag from mine. I have a guy in Oregon that will do the forks and put lighter springs in them, likely will do that and see what I gain

@@johnandjuliCan you share the dimensions of compatible springs here? Thank you so much
@johnandjuli6 ай бұрын
@@antonypascali4436 I sent my forks in to my tuner, I do not know the spring info. You can get a much better ride by having your forks re valved

Is there a chance you have the default settings for the damper and fork? I assume every ultra bee is shipped with the same installation on configuration. I've had a bud screwing around on my bike, he is more heavier and all knowing, wanted to show but now my suspension is fucked for my riding style.. Can't seem to get it back right.

Compression and rebound has a set # of clicks or turns. Go to your forks & shock and turn it all the way open and count the clicks. if it was 15 clicks then you had it 15 clicks from full open. if that was too stiff then only return it back to like 8 clicks. Use this method to keep track of your suspension and tune it in. You should also start at full open and count the clicks to full closed. This will give you and Idea of how stiff or soft you are running your suspension. Open on compression = softer, closed = stiffer. Open on rebound = faster rebound/more springy, closed = slower and stiffer. Youd want like medium compression and open rebound for fast paced desert riding with lots of bumps/whoops.

Something you should note though is the front forks on the ultra bee suck haha. I have 3 of them and it feels like my hands are breaking when landing off of jumps.
