Random blue water diving on the east coast of Florida absolutely gets dangerous.. with no ecosystem like a reef or a structure, they are much more charged to sensory variables.. the attempt to leverage the changing narrative of the shark is funny.. hats off tho brotha.. don’t allow your experience to drive your future actions in totality.. been diving for years and years from Jupiter to Islamorada and you are not attacking this changed story correctly.. keep enjoying the blessed water life tho!!

I'm curious: if you are freediving, you have to go up for air quite often, it probably involves moving away from sharks, splashing etc. Isn't it what can provoke sharks to attack?
@baatmanCotton19832 жыл бұрын
Sharks, alligators, crocs are 'sighted,' that is, their grape size brain is 'programmed to go to certain shaped prey. Big food item for shards are sea lions and seals, that's why surfers are bitten, on the board paddling out to catch a wave, the surfer, from underneath, looks like a seal! The bite to a human is a total accident to the shark. Neither animal will ever be aggressive toward a human, if they can see your shape, they have no interest. With crocs and alligators, they use farmed animals, because, in the wild, it is impossible to come within a quarter of a mile of them if they see the human form. These divers here feed the sharks, and get them used to coming for treats, it makes it more interesting to the unaware viewer to then imagine they would enter the water. If they did not feed the sharks ahead of time to make sure they had sharks, there would be none around. It takes weeks of feeding the sharks in the same place at the same time before they are ready to do a dive. This dive routine is for entertainment only, it has no educational or scientific value.
@eldarius2372 жыл бұрын
@@baatmanCotton1983 However, there was an incident this year when a ship loaded with cattle sank in the Red Sea; it is said to be the reason for a number of shark attacks on snorkelers at Egypt's and Turkey's beaches. So there is always a possibility that some shark will deviate from its usual preying behavior and attack divers, isn't there?

@funnycatzz1233 жыл бұрын
Those are remoras, they have a relationship with the shark known as commensalism. You can kind of think of it as them hitching a free ride, while also feeding on scraps and parasites that are on the shark. They have “suction cups” on their head that allows them to attach. Good luck on your journey to studying all types of animals! 😊

If your heart rate was high and panicked in the water, would they have attacked you? Also what if you tried to pet their heads? Would they feel threatened and attack? Because I know that would be me. I'd be pretty nervous with a high heart rate, and also whenever I see an animal, no matter what it is as long as it's not a bug, my first instinct is to pet it on the head.
@jrivv22393 жыл бұрын
Impulsively touching things is the first mistake humans make. It does not mean you cannot touch them, but you should not approach them. Let them come to you, and you may be able to gently pass your hand by them when go past you. I would not reach out go for their immediately. Respecting animals comes in the form you admire them within boundaries, and respect the boundaries. Deliberately reaching out to them, rather than waiting for them to come near you, is not respecting boundaries. Again, not saying you cannot never touch, but you should not be initiating. Even with dogs, I never go straight to them. I drop down to their level, and avert eye contact as form of submission, then I allow them to get close and sniff on their own initiative. High heart rate is not a huge issue if you learn to control you breathing and don't panic by flailing around. Almost all people will get a little nervous, it is learning to mitigate it around animals.
@harshikaur23002 жыл бұрын
Now touching or petting is an instinct that humans need to control under such circumstances. You are in there just to observe and not physically interact in any whatsoever way. You are there in their homes and you need to respect them while maintaining a good respectable distance. They might come approach you but you still should keep your hands to yourself lol

@@FloridasWildest true, I'm just wondering if it's a psychological difference, or just that the shark can't notice that the food is coming from people if thrown from boats. powerful animal getting to associate people with food, are the sharks more intelligent that they can distinguish people from food, more-so than an alligator? just wondering if there's any known detail on what makes it so different, such that nuisance sharks aren't created in the process
