Without a doubt, this is one helluva fiendishly difficult song to recreate. And recreate these singers and the orchestra do such great degrees of fidelity that one's jaw drops. I am especially impressed by Rana Chatterjee - following in the footsteps of the immortal Manna Dey is no mean feat and Rana does that with aplomb. Great work folks ! Astounding indeed. Hi, thx to QFR, only now we have started appreciating Raaja's background score so minutely, for almost all his songs, (leave alone the fact that the songs themselves are awesome) for having introduced a variety of instruments way back in the 70s and 80s a neat 40-50 years ago, thereby giving livelihood to musicians instead of being dependent on AI, robotics or computers alone! And the appropriate timing of such bgm speaks volumes about his creativity in music direction! OMG, Raaja is Raaja and so are SPB and SJ as singers of yester years! Without exception as you had guessed it right, one tends to put the clock back by decades to re-live those good old days! Besides, what is amazing is that these songs sound so fresh even today, that's melody as opposed to the irritating noise that we are now forced to listen to, in the name of trendy music! It is needless to say that SPB and Yesudas, S Janaki and the likes of these singers, have played stellar roles in creating and shaping stars and super stars! Thx QFR team for your efforts in preserving the heritage of Tamil music! Thx once again!

I saw this show live. It was absolutely a fantastic concept. For this classic song firstly I have to thank music composer Roshan ji & lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi ji. The song was sung brilliantly on stage by Rana, Sanjay, Priyanka and Sangeeta. The musicians and the chorus team performed very well. @sursangat9079 Mamata ji, Every thing about your shows is good except your own singing. You are BAD singer. We would rather hear one more song from the singers than you. Whoever tells you to sing on stage is making a fool of you. Please note it. I have seen the last 2 shows organised by you & liked both the shows very much except your singing. What happens is that your one song in between spoils the flow of the entire program. I had heard Priyanka, Rana & Sangeeta many times but it was the first time I heard Sanjay Sawant live. Excellent singing by him. Best wishes.
