Stephen Spielberg is not half the man your son is. Rather, Spielberg is part of the group that makes ground level people have to prep for the good days. Hes an elite. Good video sir! Great camera work.

Nice. You could even use this in your own garden to spread your preps out in case you get burgled or attacked.

I think it's a great option for sure and the food will survive most natural disasters and a nuclear bomb if deep enough and far enough away from the blast site. I have also started gorilla gardening with plants like Rhubarb, Parsley, Leeks that will grow ok in hedgerows or in and around reservoirs and costal paths.

@@MrSharpe95 If you have foraging knowledge you could also transplant wild plants and weeds near your prepping site as most people would not notice them growing on the ground.

i've told a few of my aussia mates to make one of these recently seeing as their govt is royally shafting them. Obviously they can be useful anywhere but aus is an extremely dry place where one of these could be a godsend.

Did you check the operation of that light/power bank? I'm wondering how well the rechargeable battery copes without receiving a charge for a year?

@@TheBugOutShop I were mainly thinking of the NGT light/power bank with solar panel, isn't that battery built into it? Are you bringing a load of items from the shop to the Prepper meet, can I buy items from you there??

@@TheBugOutShop I'd like a closer look at one of those lights, but I have many others and the wife is staying with me, can I get it past her I'm wondering. LOL. I've been looking for a new 80% wool blanket too, yours is only 50% I notice, would have liked to have seen that in the flesh too. If you don't mind bringing them 2 items on the off chance, great,....if you don't have the space etc, no worries, I totally understand. I wish that I lived near your shop.😊

I think this is better if you plan to bug in. Hide some food and gear out of home. If you are going to bug out, I dont think its standard the route you are going to follow to your location B, because you dont know what you are going to meet on the way there...

I didn't see a knife,axe,a water purifier like a Lifestraw or Sawyer water filter,fire starting kit,a first aid kit,or any other means of self defense,these are all very important things to add to your cache,gonna be kinda hard to cook those packs of freeze dried food with no way to cut firewood and with no way to start an actual fire to do the cooking/water boiling

Not to be ignorant, but would this sort of barrel (which I think you said was stainless steel) protect against fallout, or would you need to bury it a bit deeper to be safe in that situation? Just getting into all this, wanting to move to Wales one day and found your website, lots of really great ideas!
@TheBugOutShop2 жыл бұрын
Underground would protect from fallout and if there was fallout just wash everything down.
@lokeyacolyte21452 жыл бұрын
@@TheBugOutShop okay awesome! Just to clarify, even having it only slightly underground would be enough? I guess my concern is that since I am very petite, I would struggle to lift anything out of a barrel that was buried very deep underground!!
@TheBugOutShop2 жыл бұрын
@@lokeyacolyte2145 Fallout is in the air and as the name suggests so you just have to wash it off everything it falls on. Radiation is different. Most of the surface radio active material has gone in 2 weeks except whats been absorbed. I only bury the barrels so the top is 6-8 inches under the ground which means the bottom where i keep water in below frost zone. So you only have to reach down about 2 1/2 feet or 80cm
