Tips for laddering: If your pumpkin got laddered before you upgrade your melon pult or fume shroom, dont upgrade it, remove the pumpkin and get another ladder, upgrade the plant before the pumpkin gets laddered, suggestively, leave the gloom shroom sleeping so the ladder zombies wont die, wake it up when the gloom shroom is laddered

this was so good, i always wondered how the endgame setup was ya know, actually set up, and this tutorial was exactly what i needed, it was concise, it was precise, and most importantly it was very clear with how certain actions shoild be executed with their concerned tips and tricks. Suggestive bonus defenses: Fume shroom and spikerock are recommended plants to be planted on front of the cob cannons on land, plant umbrella leaves next to the fume shrooms and spikerocks, you also want to put 1 cattail (if you dont want to use blover to get rid of the balloon zombies) and 1 twin sunflower on the third to last pool tiles, place glooms on front of the twins and cats However, within the fumes and spikes one, it is also not suggested to be used since pole vaulters can jump over the fumes and umbrellas, disco zombies can also make extra trouble by eating the pumpkins and eventually the fume shrooms and umbrella leaves, this can be avoided by laddering the fume shrooms and umbrella leaves, which will be hard especially on the fume shroom one (just follow the advice i gave you guys about leaving mushrooms that kill ladder zombies easily asleep)

So, delano (my real name, its mentioned in my username so may as well just mention it) 6 months in the future here, and i just did some 10 cob strats with no laddering (also works with laddering btw i was copying some other ladderless strats), i basically use a gloomwall on front of the cobs bc, it turns out that discos can also be a problem because of where they spawn there backups, if you dont have a gloomwall, the disco zombie will move a step forward and have a backup eat your cob, disco zombies stop on their location when they hit a plant

Ey man thank you for the video! I came back afther a couple of months not playing pvz and now that i'm back i'm glad you made the video! Now i'm still struggling with the ladders tho... Just the luck of getting them to spawn without there being jack in the box zombies or pogo's... But thanks to you i got back into my good flow... Now i can get a super good setup afther only 6 flags [10 twin sunflowers (6 in the pool, 4 behind defence), 4 wintermelons - 2 gloomshrooms - 2 umbrella leaves >>on top of flower pots and with only imitated pumpkins, also i have 4 cob canons ready (2 in the back of the pool, 2 in front of the wintermelons), i also have 2 gold magnets in place on the place where you have the cattails AND on top of that i have always around 4k sun to spare...] Hope you understand how my setup looks like (i kinda wanted to share it with someone😁) Thank you again for making the video!

A good video! Ive done ladder setups before and am somewhat familiar with them, but I learned some things from your video that I didnt know! For example that Pogo zombies can tank for the ladder zombies, I didnt know that before! Some tips I can add: 1) Might want to avoid laddering if the ladder zombies are accompanied by Jack in the Box Zombies. Both have high speed and medium toughness, and so the jack in the box zombie will follow the ladder zombie, potentially blowing your stuff up. 2) If 5 seconds is hard to count for the Ice Shroom trick, count *ten* beats to the rythym of Staying Alive, from the moment the red text appears: "Ah ah ah ah staying alive, staying alive. Ah AH!" and on that last AH! plant the coffee bean on the preplanted Ice Shroom. Or give it three extra beats (13 total) and click a Cob Cannon where the ambushers will spawn, if you want to save the seed slots from ice shroom. But that one is more dangerous because your time window target is more narrow. 3) Some zombies will require a specific plant if they are accompanying the ladder zombies in a level. If you try and ladder in a level with Pogo Zombies, use Tallnuts in the two back corners with the gloom shroom to take em out (the front gloomshrooms and Winter Melon will kill pogos in the inner lanes). If Football Zombies are there, use extra gloomshrooms in the remaining back row squares to make sure they dont get through (me personally, I like to keep my mowers alive). If Zombonis are present, spikeweed can help in situations where its hard to see the ladder zombies.

Thanks for those tips! They sound useful to prevent zombies from entering your house when laddering! The Pogo Zombies have mediocre toughness and are fast enough so they are perfect to tank the ladder zombies. I have also experienced Ladder Zombies going with Zombonis and Jack in the Box Zombies and often avoided laddering in those rounds. As I said in the video I was going to add some tips and extra information in the comment but went totally lazy and forgot it completely lol 😂

I played endless 30 times and tried having all plants on flower pots (aside from pool) and then no flower pots on some then some flower pots on some to check if RNG gets manipulated and these are the results I got: Everytime I got some form of roof zombie with all plants on flower pots (aside from pool) between flag 3-8, 4 times it was ladders, the other times it was another roof zombie 2 out of 10 times I got some form of roof zombie with some flower pots between flag 3-8, no ladders 3 out of 10 times I got some form of roof zombie with noflower pots between flag 3-8, 1 of them was ladder, the other 2 times weren't. So what I've concluded is having plants on either no or some flower pots results in the same rng but having all plants in flower pots (aside from pool) seems to manipulate rng. Take this with a grain of salt because 30 is nowhere near enough times to make an 100% conclusion but it does seem like it affects rng but I'd still recommend trying to place all plants that are on the land on flower pots because if it does, it'd save you a ton of time constantly re-rolling your rng (unless you've got the guts to shovel your setup at really high flags and don't care about re-rolling the rng or manipulating it) Also I didn't test plants like spikeweed/spikerock with flower pots so I don't know whether those mitigate the supposed rng manipulation with flower pots or not if you plant them, they can be good to have on the land rather than extra gold magnets since 2 is usually enough gold magnets anyway. I also do a different laddering technique which is why I even mentioned ladders by flag 3-8 (also because gargs can't appear that early so getting ladders early is really important.) My technique can usually get all twelve ladders straight away (but not always because there isn't a guarantee of twelve ladder zombies)

This setup actually works really well and I'm at 146 flags currently, the problem for me is that my cob cannons sometimes shoot the lower area when I start the game so the ladders just get destroyed as soon as the countdown goes off, and another problem is sometimes my front cobs get eaten by the dancer zombie's summons because it goes so far that the cob explosion cant reach the front backup dancer :( but other than that i'm actually surviving with 1 laddered side

As a mobile player who use 10cob cycle, the most annoying part are the Disco zombie They will literally dance all the way into the 7th or 8th row and will summon a back up zombie to eat the cob cannons

I tried this strategy and somehow got higher than my previous record using the laddered 8 cob setup (aka harder 8 cob strategy) I can give explanations for it: The laddered 8 cob setup strategy but in line 1 and 6 There's no plants 6 cobs are on the pool And 2 cobs should be in line 2 and 5 Pots can be used if you want to make your strategy even more cool it's only for decoration The things you always have to deal with when you do the strategy is the snorkels,dolphin riders and Pogo's as they can get through the cobs For dolphins make sure you have a good timing at killing dolphins because there's no glooms in the pool so make sure you aim the cobs before they even get in the pool If ur 8 cobs are recharging Then use a doom shroom I recommend using it to the pool for full destruction For Pogo's I recommend tallnuts on the back as they can stop the Pogo's from going to your house otherwise you have a high chance to lose from Pogo's Blovers are needed to take care of the balloon zombies The gloomshrooms in lane 2 and lane5 are used to deal with diggers and imps when they climb The glooms should be added in row 2 for better protection from diggers If Gigas kept getting spammed in a wave then use ice shroom I also recommend laddering without jack in a box,catapult.zombies and gargantuars Twin sunflowers should be in lane 3 pool for extra sun to use insta kill plants In case of being in mobile Disco/dancing zombies can be a threat since they have more space to spawn backup dancers since it's because of their hitboxes or size so if they appear in waves use the cobs and point it in row 8 to defeat most of the backup dancers and the dancing zombie itself My record was 213 flags using the strategy that i said Now it turned into 321

You can use flowet pots for aesthetics, but it will make the laddering process a bit harder

I sometimes encounter them, especially at times when millions of zombies enter the lawn at the same time, their explosion truly does big damage to those around and i gotta lose some sunflowers to refill the vacancies

The only times ladder zombies spawned was alongside the zomboni, catapult and gargantuar zombies fml had to skip the ladder step it was impossible without restarting 😭
