The first two things I would buy is a high velocity mid-range and body armor then a lot of ammo and mags+med kits buy or make your single into dbl point sling. Etched reticle and thermal clip on. Lvl 4 body & helm. And a real movement plan. With lanes of funnel fire. And add some tac trained ppl then you might stand a chance

I'm a 5'4", 135 lb female. That being said, between my husband and myself I am the more familiar, experienced one when it comes to gear. I've had to adapt things bc I don't have the size or strength a fit guy does. I started with an emergency bag, which was mostly my backpacking gear. However over the last few years I found that weight distribution makes a huge difference. I utilize a small chest pack and drop leg/ waist pack and am able to comfortably carry more weight than using a backpack alone. It also allows me more redundancy in case I lose a bag. I've had to find ways to accomplish tasks and develop skills I lack the strength, height, ect. to do in a traditional way. I had to do some research and get creative but I am happy to say I can build my own shelters, fires, take down trees, split wood, handle my defense tools, ect. on my own. I don't plan to be alone if something goes wrong but no guarantees in this world. I would encourage everyone to find ways now that work for you before it's needed. Remember to work smarter not harder, and like I did myself get creative! Some of my methods even my husband thinks are silly but they're effective and allow me to rely on myself. Prepping has helped me to gain self-confidence as well as a sense of comfort knowing I can do what I need to to survive. Five years ago I was afraid to even touch a pellet gun and had nearly zero experience in outdoor survival. Anyone can do this and the benefits are absolutely worth the time and effort!

@BlackScoutSurvival So true looking back the last 42 years I've been alive. Funny how life works even though in the middle of the storms we all go through.. it may not seem like it but for me my typical dry sense of humor and laughing has always, always played a big part. Eventually it's like a "suddenly" happens by the grace of God and only God- where things suddenly get better in a supernatural way if I make sense. Do you think you'll ever share your story? I'd love to hear it and I know many others would love to hear what you'd be willing to share. I can guarantee and bet a lot of money we probably agree on a lot more than we disagree on but I would bet even more money that without using your phone or any search engine and just using your memory that you couldn’t even begin to describe the process of mRNA and with absolute certainty you can’t explain how it is a bio weapon. I’m sure you probably think it was just created recently when Covid hit too huh? Because I never come back to read comments or respond (because intelligent discourse on the internet is more rare than tanzanite) if you think the point of it is to be a bio weapon then why would they need a pandemic to jab people with it? 😂😂 that has to be the dumbest thing anyone would ever do.. it could easily easily be given to children as one of their scheduled vaccines all over the world.. they could even provide these highly highly needed scheduled vaccines to countries that need them for their children and that’s almost the rest of the world if it isn’t part of a developed country.. it would be super silent not a bell would be rung at all until it was too late and it started to be transmitted to everyone around the vaccinated. And since babies and children outpace everyone else in population as far as average growth in population numbers it would be WAY too easy to do that way.. btw I’m in the center but in the last 8 years have leaned heavily to the right.. pro 2a anti illegals American first combat veteran and not the kind that sat on a fob the kind that patched people up and shot at people and got shot at and got blown up…but I have a M.S. in Biology and I do clinical research for a turnkey research company where it doesn’t matter if the study fails miserably or is a success we get paid the same and the FDA is so far up our ass they can check for cavities.. but I know how this goes.. you somehow know more than I do.. because you read it on the Facebook and your cousin Ed knows someone that knows someone right? 😂

I would absolutely love for my hubby to have 1, he's my only protection and I have a good deal of medical issues and won't be able to defend much on my own. I have dogs that are very protective of me but that only goes so far. We have some stuff that I have ordered over the year but nothing with night vision. Praying for everyone in the next few weeks..I do take my friend to the shower with me now because of you. Hubby works nights so he loves the idea of my friend in the shower, he also has me stay on speaker phone so he can hear if anything goes wrong and he needs to call 911 for me if I can't and he can drive the semi home to me.

So just a brief comment about comms: through being forced to research communication methods for our church, I’ve found several radio brands which would’ve worked, but chose “B-tech” due to functionality of equipment similar to what I was leaning towards, but, went to this company because they gave the Gospel on their website. Turns out their customer service response to their customers is phenomenal. Great company making radios kind of “upgraded” Baofang with replicating program features: set up one and it mirrors to the new radio in group to ease programming. Just a way to support a brother in faith and still get a good product. 👍🏻

I’ve got Baofeng upgraded model of the UV-5R, 10-watts & I don’t care about talking on repeaters either. I want it for my people, PERIOD!!!
@vitogriffin8902Ай бұрын
The problem with the UV5r, or any of the cheaper radios, is they are not reliable or durable enough for serious use. I have tons of cheap radios, a dozen are UV5Rs, but not for serious or adverse situations. They're susceptible to breaking and they're not waterproof. It's not a matter of if those radios will let you down; it's a matter of when. People seem to understand the concept when they don't buy the cheapest gun on the market, or the cheap temu night vision mentioned in the video, or the cheapest light or backpack or whatever else, but for some reason guys always want to forget the lessons learned with other cheap gear and go over to the "good enough" crowd when it comes to comms. All that tells me is that those people don't know anything about comms, the radios they're talking about, what is really required of a radio, and they don't take it seriously enough to educate themselves. These guys also usually don't have a "team" to begin with, and if they do then nobody on it is doing anything other than fantasizing and hypothesizing. If anyone took a UV5r through a serious rifle class or put one to use in adverse conditions that we should be training in such as rain, snow, cold, hot, dirty environments etc, then they'd have gone through a few UV5rs by now and would realize that it's more of a toy than a tool. You don't just get quality radios because you want to talk on a repeater, and there's really no reason to even have a HAM radio if your intention is to talk to your "team". There's tons of better suited options.

If like to add note here regarding footwear protection. There's an inexpensive way to help keep your feet from getting wet: Bags that Hamburger Buns are sold in. They're thick, so less resistant to wear and tear. And as easy to put on as a pair of socks. Just put them on after your socks and you're good. If you're concerned about any most they may make, it's non-existent. But you could put a thinner pair of socks over that bag if you want. Just don't put them on bare feet. That will make your feet Sweat, and you'll end up wishing you hadn't!

Then there is a 10rd magazine limit, and if I wanted to get an ar, the mag would have to be permanently attached to the gun, so I would have to break it open to reload it. So right now, my SHTF gun is a mossberg 590 pump action 12 gauge.

One hit from buckshot equals 9-12 simultaneous hits with a 9mm. Germany said the US was guilty of war crimes because troops used shotguns in WW2. Muzzle breaks, ammunition mitigation and selection are key. If you could only pick 1 for shtf, you already have it. The point is survival, not fighting a war. You have what you need to get out of town, just know where you're going. Respect. Btw, check out some comparisons of the power of cut shells if slugs aren't available. It simply stops the pellets from spreading. I didn't believe how hard this hit till I got to see it.

@@jimhovater8755 honestly unless it's the first 72 hours gas is going to be hard to come across... I got ideas but I'm not saying how because that'll ruin my plan.. electricity will most likely be shut down so the pumps aint gonna work there ain't gonna be employees... AND you will get everyones attention.. a group of armed people see a uhaul they know you got shit and they want it

Hey John, hope you do some budget friendly things. Haven’t had $3000 in my bank account since closing out my retirement after 10 years with the school system. Tragedy is nobody’s got that kind of money anybody dropping down on a washer or dryer combo is an idiot. Everything‘s keeping up with the Joneses. I prefer having things on hand that do the job at a reasonable cost. Or fix things that are broken. Please do a video on a few more budget friendly items. 200 $400 items. Why I like Surplus mark up or the product is not over my budget.

Love this! Just a recommendation to those looking at getting radios. I personally prefer the baofeng uv-9R pro. It's just a few bucks more than the UV-5R, but you can charge it with a USB-c charger by plugging it in directly into the back of the radio and you don't have to worry about putting it on a dock, though it comes with one of those as well. It's "waterproof" and just more durable than the UV-5R. After you have a radio, program it using chirp and make sure your buddies have the same programming. Then practice with them. They're not terribly difficult to use, but if you think you'll just pick it up in an emergency and start using it for comms with the boys, you're going to meet Murphy pretty quick. Get the gear, then train. Great video, BSS.

As a ham radio operator, there is nothing wrong with baofang radios. One question i hope you're not counting on using local repeaters in a grid down situation. Repeaters have to have electricity to work. An hf ac/DC radio is best.

One of the amazing things with Baofeng is that in OFF mode the batteries seem to last forever too. All my other walkies discharge over time but the Baofeng fires up full force with a year old charge. And that is sitting in the car through winter aswell.

*"Running around"???* *Apparently this video is addressing a scenario in which civil unrest is so successful that your position has already been over run and you are bugging out, otherwise there is no "running around". Unless your property is so large and you failed to have enough people to patrol, you shouldn't be "running around".*

Some very high profile units run PVS-14's because they are lighter and use a ubiquitous AA battery. They're carrying enough crap and don't want to add the additional weights of a bino with all the logistics.
