Everyones ooh'ing and aah'ing about the mushroom hut. Yeah it is cool, but can we take a moment to appreciate that freaking Knife?! He smashed that thing into bamboo over and over to split it and strip it for weaving, he used it to knotch and chop the bamboo... and at the end it was still SUPER SCARY SHARP even after all of that abuse that is well known to destroy blades like no ones business. That knife was made by someone who knows what they are doing and has truly mastered their craft. Most knives i have owned come no where near this durable. That is one quality blade right there and im kind of jealous i dont have one that nice.

@Austin1990Ай бұрын
This video is quite fake. 😅 It is still really impressive, a great production. But, he is taking shortcuts. For instance, that well-placed pile of high-clay dirt piled on top of the leaves? That doesn’t happen. He placed it. That pad at the beginning would have taken forever the way he supposedly did it, and the clean right triangle corner in the back left is far to clean to have been made how he was digging.

@fredericklebeault3467Ай бұрын
Really love the build, it looks cool. But I have to point out a big flaw in the build: with basic understanding of Clay, when un-fired, it's not waterproof... it needs to be fired with proper temperature for it to withstand rain. It's okay for the wall to be un-fired when you have a roof since it's somewhat protected, but making a roof with un-fired clay, it will just dissolve over time.
@pauljs75Ай бұрын
This. Also there are ways to slake out lime from various sources. From limestone, or shells on a beach, or even calcinating wood ash. Then that would allow for plastering, which would be a way to help water-proof it without trying to figure a way to fire the clay of an entire structure. Also some kind of thatched upper would likely have made more sense, since that might be enough to shed rain away from the lower part even if it weren't water-proofed in some manner. I suppose these things are fun to show, but not really made to last longer than the video where they're constructed.

I LOVE IT... Like the other said. You should attend a huge party in the United States every year and it's called THE BURNING MAN, LOOK it up. They assemble this GIANT effigy out of wood and the highlight of the party is they light it on fire and everybody is drunk and dancing and having a great time.

I could tell this guy was a serious bushman from the moment he took off his shirt! The roof looks a bit odd though. I’m sure it does the trick but there’s a lot of space up there. Definitely enough room for a hobbit or two. 😂
How difficult is it ? At least you should have the right knife to do your work and the right tool to dig the ground. It will save lots of time and energy. I understand that you you want to show your skills and hardworking. 👏
