Not much better than having a piece of land to call your own!! Recently acquired 56 acre's in the mountains here in KY and love it. The work can be overwhelming at times but the wife and I keep at it as much as possible. Hopefully something for the grandkids one day. Stay safe and God bless 🇺🇸☠️🇺🇸!!!

Is it odd to fantasize about wood chips? Probably. I own about 15 acres in Maine and, for the past 10 years, have been cleaning up trees and branches by creating big brush piles for the wildlife. I walk through the forest just about every morning dreaming of owning a wood chipper. The mess keeps coming and I keep cleaning. Every spring and every fall. I suppose it's good for the soul. Anyway, excellent video, guys! Love it.

I'd like to find something that can breakdown grasses, weeds, limbs and it be dry or green and not gum up the rental machine.

Grass and weeds would likely not do well in a chipper. Not sure what to use for that. Terry

Trees make understory desserts

We have invasive shrubs that will grow under the thickest tree. Gonna be a battle getting it out of there. Terry

Shouldn't have to split 12 inch trees. My favorite

As in no need to split. easy peasy. Terry

Love the video, but 300 years as forest though? Count the rings on one of those trees. I doubt any are even 15 years old.
@ForestToFarm3 жыл бұрын
Never said the trees were 300 years old. The rings on the larger pines are around 60 +. The forest is and has been a forest since back 300 years and in the same family until we bought it. It was harvested over the years for wood but never used for farming or the like. Terry
