Gonna love the comments on this one lol 😆 this is part one too 🤣 and more to follow 🤣 including hail and ponies next to me briefly in camp sheltering the storm. Quite correct how do you survive a storm in a tarp seek shelter lol 😆

Loving your pretty unique style of camping Tony. And I have to agree, there's nothing better than lazing in a nice warm sleeping bag on a dismal morning

@TonyHobbs thanks Tony. What's the best guyline for the trailstar other than the line from mld?
@TonyHobbsКүн бұрын
@vincentwilson9362 I can't express this strongly enough lol USE THE MLD LINES lol 😆 don't use anything else ever. Three meters for door one meter for other 9 points if enough

Which sleeping pad are you using
@TonyHobbs7 сағат бұрын
Thermarest prolite plus It's thinner so better for lower shelter but still warm n comfy 😊

Hi Tony, loving the Trailstar, perhaps a bath tub would be sensible for my Scottish trip, trouble is the soul bivy in X/L and my long Rab bags are a minimum of 230 cm So tell me are you using the TS bath tub or a rectangular one from MLD What’s your thoughts please Cheers from a bivy
@TonyHobbs3 сағат бұрын
For winter bathtub floor It's the MLD Trailstar floor fitted to ts much better to have the fitted version rectangular not really working imo

Agree on the Evernew 600 and Sidewinder. I've been using a much lighter myog set up for fast n light trips, but the Caldera really is the best for most uses. Atb, Rob

Absolutely agree i have other options for options lol but this beats all hands down for general use

Didn't realise a slight breeze is a storm or in your vid where is it eh! or is it a clickbait going here LOL

you've only got to be down in a small hollow or dip in the landscape and you'll hardly feel a breeze. Tony is not likely to use clickbait

Many thanks Samdy exactly correct and as more vids in the series are released you'll see the forecast for Okehampton was 50mph which i believe is classified as gale force 😀 so yeah spot on find a sheltered spot if possible or go home vs destroy tent on summit 😀 or pitch this very very low and pray 😆
@alexmacaulay9550Күн бұрын
Nae bother pal you have no chance in a tarp with 50 60 mph winds
@TonyHobbsКүн бұрын
Actually people have used this in 50mph winds but I'd look for shelter... like I did which is the point 😉
@alexmacaulay9550Күн бұрын
@TonyHobbs no chance
@TonyHobbsКүн бұрын
Haha you know nothing about the trailstar then I'd agree a regular tarp. But the ts will survive if low and correctly pitched it won't be a pleasant night though and id avoid at all costs
@rbreiff73Күн бұрын
Clueless mate. I've used the Trailstar in winds I couldn't stand up in, and it was fine. The thing is bombproof.
