The Fact that it took you at least 30 Minutes to remember what Cattails are as well as Let us know that you're from Minnesota (Like NashCrafter) was hilarious man! You'll need to get some Leather Armor if you want some Protection from the Cold. You can also cook your food on the Campfire by just Right-clicking on it with the food in hand. Once it's cooked, it'll pop off of the Campfire like a Item drop. As for the Leather Armor, It might be Best to Dye it so that you can Blend into your Surroundings as Best Possible. It looked like you're in a Taiga or Snowy Taiga Biome as well as a Nearby Ice Biome. The Dyes you'll need for each Case will be as listed Below. • Helmet, Chestplate and Leggings: Light Blue and Light Blue for the Ice Biomes (Add White if it's a bit darker than the Ice Blocks) and Light Gray and White for the Snowy Taiga Biomes. • Boots: Dark Gray and Black (for both Options). • Light Blue Dye can be made with Blue Dye and White Dye in a Crafting Grid. Blue Dye comes from Lapis Lazuli and White Dye comes from Bonemeal. • Light Gray Dye can be made the Same way, but with White and Dark Gray Dyes instead. Dark Gray Dye comes from an Oxeye Daisy in a Crafting Grid. • Black Dye can be Made in two way. The Common method is to use an Ink Sac from a Squid in a Crafting Grid. The Second and more Challenging Method is to fight the Wither, Grab the Wither Rose and use that in the Crafting Grid. Leather Armor also has the Newly added Bonus of allowing the Player to walk over Powdered Snow, but should you still sink in, it'll take longer for the Freezing Effect to apply as well as you can get out of the Powdered Snow like it's water.
