Ironically, the majority of these tourist atrocities have nothing British about them whatsoever. Odeon? M&M emporiums? Plastic souvenirs made in China? Completely with Hannah on this; why anyone would want to spend a minute (let alone hours!) in these awful places is beyond me. Avoid Leicester Square like the plague. Go to Chelsea, Soho, Shoreditch, Brick Lane, Kew Gardens, Hampstead. Take it from a Londoner.

I wouldn't say you need to avoid it! Chinatown is lovely and really pretty, and you can get delicious Chinese food for super reasonable prices, so long as you check the google reviews carefully. Nearby SoHo is full of interesting boutiques, restaurants, bars and pubs and it's also very visually charming. The Prince Charles Cinema in Leicester Square is one of my favourite UK cinemas which exclusively screens older films, cult classics and newer blockbusters you might have missed when they first screened. It's a wonderfully vintage cinema and well priced. Many of the West End (London's Broadway) theatres are in and around Leicester Square too, and you should definitely see at least one musical or play when you visit London. Apparently the average ticket price is a lot cheaper than Broadway too!

Not to worry, Hannah, you did a great job! This is the most crowded vlog I have ever seen you do. I hope you went and bought yourself something lovely after that - you deserve it! Cannot believe so many people fall for the Hard Rock and the M & M Store (cannot believe how big that store was) You have taken us to so many lovely places - anyone coming to London should watch your vlogs first to know where to go. An authentic British pub or great fish and chip shop would be so much better than anything in the tourist area. You gave me a different perspective on London. If I ever am lucky enough to get there, I will definitely stay away from that area! Now I am 55 and have not been to London for 16 years (OMG). I have loved every visit there in the meantime. With my husband, on my own, in winter, in summer. I was laughing and laughing at your natural discomfort. I believe this is not just a London tourist area, but an international one. Some cities like London, New York, and São Paulo have those points where the world meets with all its chaos. It is fun and funny. Even a bad poem is still a poem, reflecting people and things. The lack of reality brings this "travel dream come true" feeling that I understand. It is not about the country or the city, but about the people far from their natural place yet still seeing themselves there because these are things that resonate with everyone (those global products and habits). And, of course, it is not the main character of the travel, but I do understand why people like it. I walked there for a second myself and I never thought "this is England," but I did think "this is London" because it is a place that not long ago was the most visited city in the world, and this area centres it. Well, I just loved your videos. I am trying to watch more of them since I discovered your channel. You have a lovely way of delivering your videos and great images. Thank you!

The vlog is not a fail Hannah! I loved it. Thank you for braving the tourist traps for us so we can see what it's like so we don't have to go. I think if I was in my late teens early 20's I would love going to Piccadilly circus and the madness. Now that I'm in my 50's I couldn't hndle the crowds. I much prefer parks, historical sites, etc. I would try to see the REAL London. Thanks again Hannah. Have a great weekend. Take care.

Your suffering in these tourist traps was rewarded with real summer weather this latter half of the week, hope you enjoyed it! Imagine how bad M&Ms world would have been in 30° like it's been today! 🥵

Hannah, thanks for showing the tourist area of London. I prefer the suburbs. Similar to Australia where locals avoid the cbd. Keep up the good work. Good to have a London girl show the way.

Actually loved this video! Fun to see all parts of London, even the tourist traps 😂. Any big city has many different districts, so showing us these areas that are not an attraction for locals, is still part of the city. Not boring and loved your response to M&M world.

Hannah, it's not a failed vlog, at least you're telling us where's good to visit in London and where not to. Yeah I hate crowds so I would probably bypass Leicester Square but I'd love to see Chinatown. It's cool getting your view about London which helps us that only visit occasionally. Thanks once again.

Great vlog, Hannah. Love your honesty, and it's good to see what the tourist traps are actually like. We were in London last year and met friends for Sunday lunch in Soho. We jumped off the bus at Trafalgar Square, and it was chaos with SO many people! It was nice to have a walk before lunch, but I was glad to get away from the crowds... We went to Randall & Aubin. It was lovely 😍

Hannah! You make me laugh.. I love walking around Picadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Charing Cross etc; the West End on the whole and visiting Foyles - my favourite and at least one Theatre visit not the cinemas. The souvenir shops are really touristy and I avoid them but I could never visit London and not go to the West End!

definitely not failed -- I used to work near Covent Garden long ago and it was good to see how things are now, how they've changed. If anything I'd say it seems less crowded, but more touristy, more theme-park? I remember always swimming through a mob and things were filthy compared to now, but it was a good time.

We went to Leicester Square on a February weekday, heading for the theatre. No queue for lego shop which had some brilliant models including big Ben, also M and M just to see what on earth it was. Thousands of overpriced m&m's in every colour, the sweet shops were such ridiculous prices, we actually laughed when we were offered a basket.

I’m laughing at your comments! I live in a tourist town and , yes, the visitors like the strangest things. They can be quite entertaining, just like this video. 🇨🇦
