Have you ever felt out of your depth being a novice rider, riding with expert enduro riders? Well that was my day! I spent the day riding some hard enduro trails with two very experienced riders and let's just say it was extremely hard to keep up. Welcome to the real world of a novice vs. expert.

Just always try to stay positive man, you generally do from what I’ve seen. Always ride with people who are better then you, it’ll push you to learn and gain endurance/skill although it may be exhausting and really challenging at times. Took me a few years but things really started clicking. Always try to carry as much momentum as you can through the gnarly stuff. Keep thinking constantly about your body positioning and try to stand as much as you can. Except for when it’s obvious to sit down and rest or is the better position for the obstacle. Practice log hops and other things your not comfortable with and stair step your way up in difficulty when you come across good spots to mess around. Being fresh helps and not towards the end of a ride to practice things. All in all your doing really good Marvis, keep it up we love the content!

our riding group is pretty much beginners to hardouts watching people do stuff so easy and then failing sucks hahaha.i try to get up front as much as possible so i get to use the most traction before its all ground up and loose you can see in this video they struggled more on the trail that had multiple runs up it even the good guys struggled to get out the top .theres video of me on here grabbing my ktm by the seat and handlebars and throwing it down a cliff in discust of the trail for the day lol

I think the fact that you're openly honest with yourself and others about your current riding abilities is a large part of your appeal. You work hard, have fun, and treat others with kindness and that draws people. Thanks for making videos.

Jokes aside. I suffer from this sometime. We learn alot riding with experienced drivers, but most of the times we are pushing our limits, and its here we can injure ourselfs. If they wait for us, its good, otherwise is bad for both parts... They are always waiting and we are always struggling to keep up. 🤟 It is what it is. No one born a pro. Lets try to improve in every ride as much we can.

First group ride I've been on in decades happened a few weeks back. I was by FAR the slowest guy there, and was advised to sit a few loops out, which I did. Even then, what we rode was more challenging for me than what I would have done solo. Definitely an eye opening experience.

Ive been subscribed for a few months now, and i see the same thing in each of your videos. your not staying on the pegs. when it gets tough, you try to tractor the bike along with your butt on the seat. watch your friends, they always have at least one foot on the pegs even in the hard stuff. on the tough up hills, get on the pegs, this puts your weight on the frame which puts the rear tire in the dirt and gives you traction. remember your rear will spinning all the way up the hill ? your friends went right up that hill because they were on the pegs. another secret, if the high ground is on the left, put most of your weight on the right to force the bike into the hill, same if the high ground is on the right side, put most of your weight on the left side. these simple things will help you improve each time you ride and greatly decrease your frustration. happy riding.

I can totally relate. 54 yo been riding bikes since 10 but haven't rode dirt since I was a teenager. My ADV biking turned I to a lust for more and this year bought a new KTM 350 EXC-F. First time out on trails and I answered a friend's invitation. Very very technical single track in the mountains. Definitely felt like I jumped into the deep end of the pool and over my head. But I persevered. Definitely relate to the struggle.

I did the Yamaha Off Road Experience in Wales and the main thing that spoiled it was that I went on my own, and everyone else had at least a little experience. I had zero experience and trying to keep up was exhausting. Ultimately I had a pretty bad fall and hurt my legs to the point I wasn't able to stand on the pegs for the rest of the day. I'd definitely want to be with other novices if I ever tried this again. It was incredible, but totally spoilt by this exact issue.

Ok i know this is probably a stupid question but, i would like to get into riding my heart is asking me to buy a husky FE 250 but my brain is telling me to buy a YZ125x, my dad wants me to get a 4 stroke i can road redo in the future (i won't say my exact age but i'm old enough to have my job) so i feel like my question is who or what do i listen to (I'm about 6'1 at 60 kilo's and have prior experience on a 2 stroke 50cc, and mountain bike if you can even call that experience) any advice is greatly appreciated!
