You may have figured this out by now, but the only food crops you can grow in the small plant pot are patats and dust lettuce (patats are better); the other small plants are mainly for crafting purposes. The large pots give you more food options, once you can build them. And yes, there is indeed a freezer that prevents spoilage (although it's a fair bit down the tech progression path).

Yes! patats are really good! Took me a minute to notice small seeds and large seeds. Great news on freezer! Thanks!

not sure if u found it aready or not but those bigh chuncks u see on old wind turbines if u use ur ship weapon u can get lots of copper from it
