One big thing I don't like about the S&R: Parasites mod is that it's a situation where the better you play it, the more boring it gets. Either you'll get NOTHING, or it'll spiral out of control FAR TOO QUICKLY. Big thing that neuters their ability to spread is KILLING EVERYTHING, and then placing torches everywhere. Who knew the noob strategy of lighting up the continent would work so well against the parasites? But you're kinda forced to play that way, because if you don't you lose your world.

Yeah that is true. Had a long word where I hit phase 3. 4 separate times. This happened because I simply went hunting after the grace period to bring down the points. Find a couple adapteds, kill em and boom phase decreased to 0 again. Once you hit phase 4 it is VERY difficult to avoid the point spiral and coincidently phase 5 is where all the cool things start, past the point of no return. The common theme with this mod is you either contain it in the early phases or you end up in a death spiral delete world scenario. Would be nice if they added a lure made of phase 8 unique mob drops that brought it down to 0. Then you could theoretically "save" a world; but as it is now you would need more than a inventory worth of end game lures to achieve this.

One thing I would recommend is that you allow some or minimal passive mob spawns or an additional source of food to spawn. As the evolution phase progresses, crops will grow slower than normal until crops eventually stop growing altogether by phase 9. Rotten flesh is a viable option for a short time, but by the time crops stop growing, regular zombies will most likely not spawn at all. Starvation is cool, but does not make for an interesting way to die after a long series, especially with limited lives.

Hey Wrld ! awesome vid ! just a quick heads up, I'm pretty sure sleeping in scape and run is highly ill advised, I think every time you sleep the infection gains evolution points, and it gets worse and worse the more phases you are in to the point where in phase 6 if you sleep it adds 1.250 mill evolution points, also in phase 0 if a rupter is alone he will not attack you

There is a setup for the lures which can lower your points, it's on the wiki, you basically just wasted your lures as they also don't stack, I tested this out in my latest episode. Also sleeping adds 100 points which I also tested, it's better not to sleep and gather resources in the meantime as early game is the most important. If you plan on surviving long term then the sky base is the way to go.

Okay two tips: one, put the tree right outside your base/in a big room AS SOON AS YOU GET IT, the room you put it in at first was SUPER small and cramped, this makes trees take longer to grow because they can check for different types of sizes, second, when you put down a monofarm, that is a farm with a single type of crop, put down the seeds in a checkerboard or row pattern. Minecraft has this mechanic where if a crop is not surrounded by the same type of crop on its 4 sides, it will grow faster. This works for all crops (not sugarcane or bamboo). The speed is worth the extra space needed. TRUST ME

This is wrong! Crops grow faster in rows, not in checkerboards. The growth speed penalty is when the same crop is either diagonally adjacent or both north/south adjacent and east/west adjacent. Also, there's another growth speed bonus for the 8 adjacent blocks being hydrated farmland, so you should till a larger area than you're actually using.
