Last year I was placed on a PIP at a defense company mind you I was burned out and overworked. My manager was unskilled and young and obtuse. I been that company for 1 and half years with realignment and change "corporate" jive. I only entertain it for week and resign I was not going reduce myself with gaslighting and moving goal post. Never stay loyal to any company and think of yourself first.

I’m sorry you had to go through that. But hopefully everything worked out in the end

There’s a term in big tech “nobody survives a pip”. Not because people don’t pass them, some do. But because it’s on your record for as long as you stay at a company. It’ll prevent promotions, pay increases and you’ll forever be a target for layoffs. It’s a death sentence for your career at a company, so get out.
